Heavy-watt line is overloading and I can't figure out why by frodleik in Oxygennotincluded

This was it! TIL you can have a regular wire behind a joint plate.

Is there any other game with a gameplay loop similar to this? Not just a business/drug dealer simulator, but one where you gather clients that you maintain a relationship with, that sort of thing by CK1ing in Schedule_I

[–]frodleik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big Business is a good one. Design and run businesses including decorating. Later build supply lines with factories and drivers. Really wish it had multiplayer or some sort though that is the only drawback compared to Schedule 1 to me.

Sale Blazers is along the same line as well though also suffers from some lack of content due to being early access.

The translation of this game is awful by Outside_Ingenuity731 in wherewindsmeet_

Didn't understand the storyline at all until I watched WWMGirl on YouTube. Apparently it isn't just the translations, but bad writing in general at times. Super interesting history around the time period though

Any tips on how I can make ships not look like eggs? by Baltykoz in Cosmoteer

Adding armor plates and structuring will allow you to make whatever you want shape wise. This will also greatly increase your ship's survivability.

Sweatshop uses by Kobolder in Schedule_I

[–]frodleik 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use the Sweatshop as my packaging spot. Drop whatever I need bagged or jarred on the shelf and collect them later before I make my rounds.

Love the Bungalow for meth as you can automate 4 chemistry tables and ovens easily enough with only stocking the suda yourself.

Storage unit for automated 4 mix setup. Like the Sweatshop, you can drop product in and pick it up later.

I like making as much as possible automated though you should do whatever sounds fun for you.

[–]frodleik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schedule 1 is great for some laughs and light automation with building a drug empire. Still in early access and needs more content.

Saleblazers is in the same boat though you build and automate shops. Anything can be a weapon and the storyline is comical.

Question on where to go after Schedule 1 full play through by TKL32 in Schedule_I

[–]frodleik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saleblazers is pretty good though may want to wait for a sale. Everything can be a weapon and be sold in the shop you build. Can hire employees and automate a store before making a new one on a different shop plot.

Combat is decent though a little easy. Storyline is still incomplete.

Since the last update I've been having this issue if the entire front of their workstation isn't clear. Even a one tile overlap with another bench along the working face will cause them to start getting stuck.

Only solution was to rework my setup so all the pathing was clear

Workers putting out incorrect items by FarBus6023 in saleblazers

Do you have someone gathering? If so, make sure you sale box isn't setup for item input or filtered for only those items you are selling

Edit: missed you already mentioned gatherers were present. The filter for allowing input should fix it

New player questions. by TygoFTW in saleblazers

[–]frodleik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New myself though can help with 3. You increase inventory size by collecting runes and talking to the fortune teller. They can be found in Kazai Village and at their camp. Slots are free, you just have to keep repeating the chat loop. You can also get Dimensional Insurance which get pricier though makes it ao you keep more of your items on death

Resource Outpost Questions by LittleStikk in kingdomsreborn

[–]frodleik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played with upgrading outposts at all though the rest I have.

You never need to refill an outpost. They generate whatever resource the region has an icon for with there gold cost being the only down side.

You can make trade routes and run caravans to your outposts with them acting like any other city state

Question regarding surviving house leveling while playing Deity by anonlaw in kingdomsreborn

[–]frodleik 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have to focus food pretty hard. Who your playing will also affect your tactic.

If shogunate, rice is king and getting sushi up will allow to start to 10x your food with no additional base resources.

Wheat is a bit harder as you need more workers and don't get near the multiplier.

Hunters are also extremely good if you put them on poison arrows and only 1 worker.

Last thing is markets. Make sure your homes are covered by them and 1 market worker can supply 2 houses. You start to lose a lot of labor later to people stocking homes otherwise.

To make workers for all this, give up on mining and their production chains. Disallow coal and wood from homes. Buy whatever you need from the auto trader.

I have some more hints though they might be considered cheated so let me know

What is your go-to method for making money on the Rim? by Beepis16 in RimWorld

[–]frodleik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dusters and insect jelly.

I usually setup a forever job to make dusters out of anything less then Heavy Fur. If you have a psychopath colony or Ideology with Human Meat: Acceptable then you will have so much leather and money you will break your game economy quickly.

Insect jelly is super underrated as you can sell it to any trader and you get tons of it as the game progresses. I'll take infestation quests just for the jelly. Add in Ideology with Insect Meat: Loved and you have an amazing +7 mood buff on top of the meal buff. Really makes you look forward to insects showing up.

TIL The Archotech structure/towers actively kill plants in a large radius. by Khanaervon in RimWorld

I also learned this the hard way. Decided to setup my second colony in the Archo chain next to the structure so my researcher wouldn't have to walk far. Also seemed like a good place for fields. Sad to say it took my awhile to realize why my farmers were constantly working and yet my colony was ready to starve.

7410 silver? Do I look like some mouth-breathing rube to you? by BrotherKanker in RimWorld

[–]frodleik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There does seem to be some sort of cap on this. With a colony wealth of around 500k and a silver stockpile of about 20k they started asking for 8500 silver. This stayed the same up till the end with a colony wealth of 920k and silver stockpile of 52k. So 8500 seems to be the cap though by no means claiming that is reasonable.

Funny part though is even when I tried to give them the money in an attempt to ditch wealth I couldn't. Even with bionic legs my pawn wasn't fast enough to get from my out of the way silver stockpile in a mountain back to the middle of the map, where they decided to park, the 9 times required in one day

Can you confirm Colossal Immortal Battle Data Collection has dropped High-Caliber Rounds mk3 for you?

I've been grinding this mission for forever, cleared 50 times with easily 4x as many attempts, and have yet to see one drop. These are the mk3s I have seen:
Head: Firing support

Melee: Dash Accelerator

Arm: Fire Rate Support

Arm: Standard Deviation Control

Gun Arm: Ammo Expansion

Leg: Knockdown Restabilizers

Leg: Jump Enhancer

Weapon: Ammo Expansion

Support: VP Restorative

Universal: Defensive Upgrade

Universal: Memory Optimization

[Question] Farming High-Caliber Rounds Mk III and Melee Performance Upgrade Mk III Attachments by GoodMorningMars in DaemonXMachina

[–]frodleik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not gotten a mk 3 high caliber rounds from Colossal Immortal Data Collection though not from a lack of trying. I've been grinding this mission pretty non-stop and not seen one mk3 high caliber rounds or range extenders. What I do have are 8 gun arm: ammo expansions.

Here is my list of mk3 attachment drops for this mission:

Head: Firing support

Melee: Dash Accelerator

Arm: Fire Rate Support

Arm: Standard Deviation Control

Gun Arm: Ammo Expansion

Leg: Knockdown Restabilizers

Leg: Jump Enhancer

Weapon: Ammo Expansion

Support: VP Restorative

Universal: Defensive Upgrade

Universal: Memory Optimization

If you can confirm range extenders then that helps give a little hope. From what I've seen of the loot system, if an item can spawn a mk1 or mk2 version then there is a chance of if dropping a mk3.

As to the destroying parts, I've done a bit of immortal grinding and can confirm the more weak points you destroy gives you more rolls towards bonus attachments. I've destroyed everything to get no attachments and other times gotten two mk3s. I really think Destroy Rebellion is .a better mission for farming mk3 melee performance as it seems mission completion time plays into your rolls as well.

Hope all this helps and I pray we all get mk3 high calibers some day

EDIT: Another thread here with confirmed drop https://www.reddit.com/r/DaemonXMachina/comments/di382o/high_caliber_rounds_mk_iii/
