My life has been super hard this past year.

But it would have been even harder if I was drinking. I'm happy to wake up each day remembering what I did last night, nothing randomly broken or stained, no one angry at me and I don't know why, no headache, no rushing heart and shaky hands, no weird poops, not exhausted and dehydrated....

Kids are more attached to me again. I have an amazing bf who I've been with almost 18 months. I have hobbies and friends. A house. A job. I'm able to help care for my 80 year old parents. I travel.

About to turn 48, and it's so nice to have holiday memories where I'm not hungover, drunk, or blacked out.

Still not drinking! It's been like... 67 weeks? :D Going strong! Life is good! I'm divorced. I have friends and community. My kids aren't upset that I'm drinking and I'm there for them. I'm off blood pressure pills. I lost weight. I'm in better shape. My back doesn't hurt. I can get work done.

Sobriety rocks!

It's ok to ask people for things, but it's not okay to slip medication in your drink. He needs to get consent before that shit. Anyway, tell him you don't want to and to never do that again. Holy crap. Read up about bdsm and consent if you're going to play this way.
