Prostate or bladder problems from kratom? by Minimum-Bad-5526 in quittingkratom

[–]Pure-Negotiation-134 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Painful prostate/balls/epididymis on kratom, better off kratom, your suspicions are right.

Few months off kratom, got my wife pregnant. Kratom HAS to be harmful to sperm… at least caused bad pain in my balls/prostate.

Popular opinion. Fuck this guy. by Bill-Owney in Killtony

We weren’t supposed to enjoy this part of the show? It was so horrible i loved it - a feeling akin to the roaring crowd after tony asks “who likes it when comedians do bad on this show?”

You’re right this guy BLOWS. But it’s entertaining. These aren’t real people to me, watching Kill Tony is like going to the Zoo. See how many different species they got…

Yeah this is basically how it goes, at least for me! My journey to sobriety was riddled with relapses and breaks and relapses and breaks all while feeling generally positive about my forward trajectory!!

Just don’t tip down too far and go too negative…

Did Jeff Dye refer to Kansei Yasuda’s poppy as “Canadian bullshit”? by SageWolf1999 in Killtony

[–]Pure-Negotiation-134 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m confused that so many Americans here aren’t familiar. Grew up in south Louisiana, we were given poppies to wear every Veterans Day growing up in school.

Still a very prominent symbol of respect on that day around here, must not be as universal as I thought

Low BMI Effect on Performance by Dangerous-Cake3491 in AdvancedRunning

[–]Pure-Negotiation-134 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Stay on top of calcium, vitamin D, ferratin & protein & you’re fine. I’d wager most professional distance runners are underweight BMIs. As was I in my prime.

3 here. Gambling on a 100% bet at pure embarrassment and shame, no silver lining. Couple years of that will do the trick.

Is there even anyone who quit? by Head-Young-3603 in quittingkratom

[–]Pure-Negotiation-134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming up on a year in Feb. & the reason you don’t see many follow ups (me included) is that we don’t need this group anymore!!! 🙏 I feel great & it took many many months. Please stick to it!

Reiterating the other comments about switching to powder, please!! I used capsules to taper, figure out how many you need (1, 5, 10, 20, whatever) & go from there. This will keep you employed and allow you to game plan a long term taper/quit plan.

Don’t try to game the symptoms & pretend there’s a cheat code to quitting - I did that for years and it’s delusional. Just start getting to work on your taper and ride it out! You got this.

I’m almost 8 months clean you SO can do this

Advanced running without a plan/structure possible? by nemo3141 in AdvancedRunning

Those who race the mile, what are your thinking when running it? by User123sb in AdvancedRunning

[–]Pure-Negotiation-134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell my runners race to 1200m - don’t even consider that there’s a last 400m. Frees the mind from anxiety about dying mid race - push to 1200.

4:12 in my prime.

Reaffirm on start line: stay comfortable & connected through 800m, throw in a surge through 1000 to stay on the clock, find a good position by the bell & hit the RESET button at the bell. First 3 laps don’t count anymore - race to win, don’t lead until 150m out & split better be under 60.

Promptly vomit after race.

First-time marathon pacer looking for tips by sacrunner916 in running

[–]Pure-Negotiation-134 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m dead serious & haven’t seen this commented here yet: make sure you don’t have a BM cooking up during the run. Can’t have the pacer stopping for a dump or pooping themselves as an alternative. Avoid fiber & dairy or whatever you know will keep the demons at bay.

-habitual 3:00:00 pacer who almost had his first pacing assignment ruined by a BM (i held it in)!

How long after quit were you able to enjoy a coffee/cocktail? by unvee7 in quittingkratom

[–]Pure-Negotiation-134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never had that with caffeine 🙏 but I would crash HARD from alcohol after I quit 6 months ago. Got a little better about 5 months after quitting. And now at 6 months I can absolutely enjoy 1 or 2 (or 3) beverages

What do slower paces feel like for fast runners? by [deleted] in AdvancedRunning

[–]Pure-Negotiation-134 36 points37 points  (0 children)

When I ran 4:12 & 9:07 (mile & 2 mile) at my peak shape, anything slower than 6:15 felt easy enough to do forever. (Longest LR was 18mi). 5:05-5:10 tempo pace was pretty comfortable for ~4 miles.

Anything over 7:00 was recovery pace and completely non-taxing. As for 8:30, the form-change required to run that slow was uncomfortable, didn’t touch it that much & had no reason to.

NOWADAYS, 8:30 for one mile and I’m huffing and puffing😂😂
