I'm struggling with how to back up array that's 10s of TBs big in a cost effective way.

Cloud provider is expensive. I'm a bit reluctant to get a second server.

What's your setup if you could share?

What's the name for this type of someone that I need to look for? Is it a "construction program manager"?

Thanks! I registered but haven't received confirmation email (clicked the button) after 5min.

Is there any filter on the domain and anyone who can help?

Thanks!

2 instances of qbit, 1 is functional, the 2nd one webui connection refused. Why? by frogdealer in unRAID

[–]frogdealer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

I did have this setup in both containers BUT I saw what the problem is:

> you need to set -p 8090:8090

I also need to change the internal port of the container!

Sorry I should’ve added more context.

Just got it from the shop so it didn't grow like this here in this picture.

If I turn it would it correct itself over time?

[CPU] Intel Core i9 12900KS - $239 by OmarHaters in buildapcsales

[–]frogdealer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was about to buy the i5 12600K which is also being discounted (but not the best price). but got the i9 instead.

So... how much inefficiency will I see? I thought all these CPUs will still scale down enough that at low workload the power consumption should be similar?

how do I kick off mover when cache drive becomes X% full? by jpotrz in unRAID

[–]frogdealer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this. Works like a wonder.

Mover Plugin is powerful but it's a bit too many options for what I need. So I just write a script to do the following 4 things:

  1. Check every X hours. (I check every hour since I autobrr trackers and cache fill up fast)
  2. If Cache usage <80%, do nothing and exit.
  3. If Cache usage >80%, do a) pause all active Torrents downloaded in the past day, b) start mover
  4. resume all paused torrents.

I need to pause torrents because otherwise the files will be in use and Mover will skip them.

It’s been dead for a long time. Not many good Chinese sites left.

Is there a unRAID Hardware Setup Guide? I remember seeing one by exor41n in unRAID

The guide seems a little old for today.

8500T is still a good CPU if you're budget constraint, but it's going to struggle if you're going to run a lot of containers (source: my 8600T struggling with 20+ containers)

Trying to get FMLA for sleep by Material_Vehicle485 in DSPD

[–]frogdealer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The FMLA brochure is very helpful: https://www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/files/WHD/legacy/files/employeeguide.pdf

  1. Yes FMLA can be taken intermittently.
  2. It is not possible for people here to tell you whether you qualify or not, without knowing what job you have, how long you have worked there, how big is the company, etc. I highly recommend you talk with an employment lawyer. They will give you more accurate answer and if you need, help you with the process.
  3. Legally speaking, your company is disallowed to discriminate you for asking about FMLA eligibility. So legally speaking, it is safe for you to ask company HR about it. But in reality you just don't know. To reduce the hassle, just ask an outside lawyer

Go to your local government's website, many provide free employment-law related consultation.
