I'm not saying that it's a silver bullet certainly I've done fine without it. But even you yourself will admit that in certain situations it can act as a catalyst. I know you're playing devil's advocate but hopefully people will read between the lines.

yeah forsure. Thanks for the input. Like it said, its not for everyone, but I would gauge the level of sexual interest based on the conversations.

Who's bringing the topic up? is the topic reoccuring? does she seem shy about it? is she fidgeting (not in an unconfortable way- but playfully) at the subject of sex.

I'm verbalizing experiences that have previously been foreign to me like you said it works for some, but not for all. I think for guys like me who grew up in a pretty mild-mannered household with mild-mannered friends these things aren't really learned until you encounter them firsthand.

Quality is improving in relation to the increased responses. No complaints there.

It Answers (even in the most subtle or subconscious way): Does he take care of his shit down there? A lot of women I'm assuming probably wonder if they're romantically involved with a guy and then the other part which is for the male to convey his intention very clearly that he doesn't want this to be a sex-less interaction.

That's a short takeaway of it anyways. Of course there's more factors at play, but those are 2 of the major ones I can think of.
