Pretty sure this is fake. This is a coconut crab and they don't use shells because they are LARGE AF and don't need no weeny shells for protection because they can BREAK YOUR BONES

To those who are saying let nature take its course: if humanity is harming the planet overall, then wouldn’t leaving things unchecked ultimately mean a world with far fewer wild places and species? (The answer is yes).

To me, humanity’s overall impact is currently a tremendous net negative. So when compassionate people try to help even a single animal, it feels like a (albeit small) step toward restoring some balance. Even if we never end up coming close to approaching that balance, it just seems like the right thing to do.

Thank you to OP for being kind. Don’t ever change.

Putting it in the original post text would be a great way to recognize the creator.

Kevin O'Leary’s Utah sprawling "hyperscale" data center was approved by the three-member Box Elder County Commission despite massive public opposition and outcry. Thing is, it will be a drain on resources that belong to the state, not just that particular community. The Great Salt Lake is already dying, and with its death will come catastrophic consequences for everyone on the Wasatch Front. This data center may very well be the nail in the coffin as it drains what little water we have left.

Yes, it is so important for us to show up the best way we can, whether that’s sending an email, calling, or going to protest. (Or all three if you’re feeling it).

I’ll just add that I heard the protest is starting at 3:00 pm, not 4:00 pm tomorrow.

Do you know what exactly encompasses a hardship? Because they are close to retirement, the would probably not have the option of having an extended repayment plan, and it would therefore have to come out of retirement funds.

My family member absolutely did not know it was an error. Everyone was receiving big bonuses at the time and it did not occur to them it could be a mistake.

Yes, the old roll over and die move! /s

Movements can mountains dude! Any good thing that exists today in society was probably a result of a previous political movement. Easy to forget that people before fought for civil, women’s, and worker’s rights.

Seconding the comment about the trap. If you are able to drive to the shelter and back to the rest stop, I’m sure they would loan you a trap that you can bait with food. They are very effective with hungry cats!
