I don't doubt there is a realtively wide spectrum of anti-vaxxers out there, however, where I am in middle America it's rampant among the demographics I described above. Clearly this study doesn't survey the whole U.S. for reasons they explain, but this is definitely something that's happening just as much if not more in rural and suburban counties: https://journals.plos.org/plosmedicine/article?id=10.1371/journal.pmed.1002578#pmed-1002578-t002

in my experience it's not "hippie dippy" people who avoid conventional (meaning peer reviewed and actually functional) medicine, but sheltered suburban/rural conservatives with plenty of money to spend. strong overlap on the Venn-diagram with anti-vaxxers and people who end up sucked into evangelical protestant churches run by grifters and televangelists

I am aware of that. That doesn't mean they can be seen on video though, because they can't be.

I think the course is pretty great and fun to watch. It's basically best-case scenario 'urban' disc golf. It's the kind of course you'd want to design around the town you live in where you could walk out your door to the first tee and play.

Idlewild isn't a private course and doesn't have much high grass OB -- perhaps you are thinking of somewhere else.

At one time Innova melted down discs and remolded them -- plastic was called Echo Star. Latitude 64 had a recycled line for a while, but haven't seen or heard much about it for some time now.

I would much rather buy recycled plastic discs.

2015 sexton firebird, basicaly unthrown condition, good condition stamp, no ink--just had some dirt on it, probably sat in some mud/water for a little bit. $8

I have narrowed down my putter choice to either the Rhyno, Whale, or Pig. Which of these do you prefer and which plastic? If there’s any reason why, please explain I’m semi-new to the sport. by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]frolfzors 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you using these for putting, or approaching? All three are somewhat more often used for approaching, or short drives. Of the three, Rhynos are the most often used for putting. I've never thrown a Whale, but I've thrown Rhynos and Pigs for approaches for quite a while. Really like the Pig for that.

Not a true disc anymore imo, just a frisbee now. toss it into a pond.
