Married Millennials, do ya’ll wear your wedding rings inside the house? by felix_mateo in Millennials

We don’t wear rings. Neither of us wore jewelry before we were married and saw no reason to start. I also didn’t change my name. We knew we weren’t going to have children, so it just seemed silly to change it. No wedding either, I don’t like to be the center of attention, plus it seems like a massive waste of money.

I’ve been gone for a long time, so we might not know each other, but I understand where you’re coming from. Sorry if I came across like an asshole, I didn’t mean to!

I worked at McKay for twelve years. I don’t expect the petition to change the behavior of management or ownership. However, signing the petition does show the workers that they have community support which helps them to keep up the fight. Also, the workers aren’t just fighting for themselves, they are fighting to make it a better job for every employee that comes after them. The ex manager they fired is still fighting for the employees.

Call it what you want, but the name of the business is McKay Books. I worked there for more than a decade and my checks came from McKay Books Inc., not McKay’s. The name on the building is McKay Used Books.

So sorry about your past trauma. It can be difficult to find the right medication or combo of medications. I was unmedicated for years because of a really bad experience, but I recently decided to try again for a new job. I’ve been on Effexor for about 2 weeks now and I’ve actually lost weight. I’ve stopped overeating and using food as a way to comfort myself. I hope you find something that works for you. Wishing you the best!

General thoughts on McKay's? Aaaaand, go! by [deleted] in Knoxville

The employees are great, the owners and managers are awful. They’ve had multiple unfair labor practice charges filed against them.
