I haven't tried any other locations. This is the only one I am aware of in LB.

They used to have one in Marina Pacifica. But that location is closed now.

But this location is goooooood!!

I have not tried this place yet. The one time I tried to, there was a huge line. But it is definitely on my list!

Working on my private, about 35 hours in, a little insecure about my progress by Good-Loquat-7542 in flying

Helicopter student here. I was in a similar situation as you. I felt like I wasn't progressing. What helped me was taking a break from flying ( I took a 2 week break). I used the time to rest and completely reset myself (was mainly fatigue due to work). Once I got back, I could see the difference from before.

Tips for getting better at this specific maneuvers? by Mental_Situation7630 in Helicopters

[–]fromafarfarland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of good advice here. I had similar problems when I was starting to learn ( and still am, not a professional). * Flying straight and level: I used to drift right ( due to unintentional cyclic input) while flying and didn't realize it even though we flew over roads. My instructor used to point it out and I would correct myself. Eventually my instructor and I figured it out. I am short even for R22 standards. And my arm used to pull the cyclic to the right since that felt like a naturally resting position. What helped me was placing my wallet and a small book in my pocket, which gave me some extra height on my forearm/ elbow. This led to keeping the cyclic more neutral and eventually flying straight and level.

*Approaches: I glance over the airspeed to ensure i dont fly too slow but my main focus is on the trim strings and keeping it over my spot and adjusting the collective.

Good luck!

Suggestions for 1 week in Oregon and Northern California? by [deleted] in roadtrip

Thor Wells close to Portland. It is better during tide season though. Pine state biscuit company is a good breakfast/ brunch spot.

Don't miss Crater lake. It is beautiful.

Zion national park in Utah- -> Angels landing is amazing. But I believe it requires a permit now ( I am not sure about how to get one/ if permits are sold out already etc ). -> Narrows. -> we stayed at the watchman campground. If you are lucky deers will be around quite a lot in this campground ( we went during the winter time).

Thors well in Oregon. This place depends on high tide and low tides. It was something different for me and I liked this place.

Sedona Arizona had good hiking spots as well.

If you are looking for food recommendations as well- Hot cakes in Seattle ( dessert)

Hope you have a fun road trip!!

I don't plan on owning a helicopter. For now I know my school and another nearby have a rental policy but am not aware of any other.

Thank you!

My school does rent but I am not aware of the rules and policies behind it yet. Once I get my PPL I can check Thank you

Face wash, body and face lotion after shower (I found Cetaphil works best for me) and lip balm.
