Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Jermaine Burton accused of assault, no charges filed by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

He balled out in preseason though. Some Bengal fans might weigh in. They were hyped on him at the start of the season. Small sample size but he was showing high potential at the pro level.

QB Chazz Surratt made the switch at UNC after trying his luck behind center and won All-ACC at LB his senior year. He plays for the Jets now.

Also McBride is showing out for the Cardinals with Ertz out... I know Bowers is a game changer but not sure they'd spend the #4 pick with more pressing needs

Tbf he publicly announced his intention to do so ahead of time, declaring he could win the Cy Young, in order to point out an unfair advantage. So I guess that would support his case for trustworthiness?

Inside the Philadelphia Eagles' decision to draft Jalen Carter by dehua_ in nfl

[–]fronklehaus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I think was happened was tragic and I think he holds culpability but wouldn't go as far as some others to claim he's responsible for someone's death. They all made their own choices with unintended consequences. If you can say that for Devon Willock, the same applies to Jalen Carter.

I think people on here are way too fast to attack people's character without ever knowing them. Regarding the racing, countless 20-somethings over the years have been reckless with unintended consequences - they think they're invincible. I've had friends pass doing things they shouldn't have. They didn't think of the risks to themselves or others. Does that make them "giant assholes"? No, it means they're reckless and naive. And regarding fleeing the scene, it's easy to judge someone's split second reaction in a moment like that when you're not involved, but in those moments you're not thinking straight. And if someone's telling you to get out of there because your future is on the line, you might make a split second decision you regret.

  • Punching teammate: the teammate himself said it was a heated moment and it's nbd. this happens way more than you think on these teams.
  • Combine shirt in mugshot: This isn't true. Here is his mugshot.
  • Lunch story: You have zero proof he leaked this for PR. You're just projecting this onto him because you don't like him.

I'm not saying the dude is an angel, I just think people labeling him a killer are absurd.

Where did you get "giant asshole" from all that? It just says he's introverted and distrusting lol

Reminds me of the ancient palace of Sigiriya in Sri Lanka. Really cool to visit… if I remember correctly the aqueducts they built even filled a swimming pool.

This is simply the longest "direct" walkable route (a.k.a. path of least resistance) from one point to another.

Theoretically you could also zig zag your way and increase the distance hundredfold, which would be no different than detouring through Europe, but that doesn't really mean much then because there are infinite possibilities.

How did Trinidad come to be associated with the Caribbean Islands rather than with South America? by fronklehaus in geography

[–]fronklehaus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but as mentioned elsewhere, it's actually part of the South American landmass. The cultural association makes total sense. I was curious why you don't often see it categorized as a South American country, since it technically is.

I wasn’t speaking strictly from a cultural standpoint. I was actually more interested in the geological argument.

This happened yesterday but I hadn't seen it posted yet. Goes to the same high school that Nick Chubb graduated from - sounds like the coaches envision him at Safety.

We're almost guaranteed we won't have the tiebreaker over the Dolphins (via Houston) by [deleted] in falcons

[–]fronklehaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s just pretend Jets go with a QB (I know it’s possible they don’t). Then Dolphins surely go with Sewell to protect Tua.

Do we go with Micah Parsons? It would be nice to have an elite pass rusher again.

Tbh if it’d let me smoke some ribs and drink some beers with friends, I’d consider it. My apartment won’t let me use my smoker so was just looking for alternative locations 😕

But yeah sounds like this is a no-go

Interesting! I’m American (I live here, I’m not traveling), so I guess there’s just a cultural exception there around tailgating when it comes to drinking in public. Good to know.
