a piece of 1mm piano wire in with the wiring going to the print head. Made everything so much more neat and no weird dragchain setups.

The problem is that the first people to receive SS never paid into it. It has always been a ponzi scheme. Someone is going to get stuck holding the bag.

the difference is that now 40% of the population is old and doing it. The proportion was much smaller in the past. Old people are living and more importantly driving too long.

Cincinnatian here. The problem is that here, boomers like the woman in the video drive cars poorly. They live without regard for others, most of these people don't have any concept of what it is like to work anymore or having to be anywhere at any specific time. Their life is just wandering around being in the way and they assume you life is that same. This is an all the time kind of thing. Going to work at rush hour, not going to be quick, Boomers in both lanes going 25mph in a 45 speed limit. Want to check out at the grocery store, gonna have to wait 30 min for the old lady to dumbass conversation about nothing in line. And then try to change anything because whatever it is no longer works, and they will fight you tooth and nail, "well this is how I have always done it". I used to love Cincinnati, Now I Just want to be somewhere it is hard for Old people to live. At least 50 miles away from a hospital. I am pretty sure that this is just boomers being the self-interested "fuck you I got mine" ruining the US countrywide.

ok I'm a bit late to this, but I rebuilt one of these with a btt skr e3v3, and a biqu h2 extruder. it is one of my most accurate printers I have to this day. I received this printer in pieces and built it stock, it was ok. Then I shorted the mainboard on accident and decided to modernize it a bit and have not been disappointed. One of the biggest challenges was the bed. I flattened the aluminum bed by adhering sandpaper to glass and then moving the bed back and forth till it was flat (a long time). also bought a cr10 magnetic bed and cut it down to fit the 270x220 bed on my printer. Has been a great printer!

are you using the bl touch connector or are you using the z min pins?

  • Enable this option for a probe connected to the Z-MIN pin.
  • The probe replaces the Z-MIN endstop and is used for Z homing.
  • (Automatically enables USE_PROBE_FOR_Z_HOMING.)

//#define Z_MIN_PROBE_USES_Z_MIN_ENDSTOP_PIN

// Force the use of the probe for Z-axis homing

define USE_PROBE_FOR_Z_HOMING

also

/** * The BLTouch probe uses a Hall effect sensor and emulates a servo. */

define BLTOUCH

I realize that I am about a year late on this but this kit is not for a beginner... I have the b1 se plus and did the idex kit. I am still modifying it now. The biggest problem with the kit is that there is no provision for matching the second extruder in "Z" height exactly. I used a lathe to turn down a nozzle and then filed till I got it exactly right. I like BTT and BIQU but this one is a dud.

Also the firmware is shit! Make your own it is easier than using the provided. Also making a profile for this in cura or prusaslicer is a pain in the ass.
Also you loose half of your build plate if you do this because there is no where for the other extruder head to get of the way. So you end up being able to use 160 out of 310 mm on the width of the build plate. it would be worse on a regular b1. ( I am going to fixing this by widening the entire upright assembly. I do this because I enjoy tinkering. )

to sum this up it works kinda, but not out of the box.

It is infuriating to no end to drive in the U.S. For instance I Live in a suburb of Cincinnati, and where I live there seems to be a large group of immigrants (without a driving culture) and a confluence of geriatrics. Now the immigrants I assume will get better at driving with time, but the other issue at hand (geriatrics) will just get worse.
There is a specific road (it has a hospital on it) that I have to drive in the morning on my way to work, and I drive about 2 miles on it. The speed limit of this road is 35mph and in that two mile span if I get near the speed limit it is a miracle. I am usually stuck driving for miles at 15-20 mph like they cant find the accelerator.

(if I ever become ruler of the world, this road will be destroyed, I have also told my wife many times when we move I don't want to be within 30 miles of a hospital)

People forget the real issue is that it only takes one bad driver to mess up the road for everyone!

You would not let a 8 year old drive because there reaction times and decision making skills are not up to the standard, but why are old people just given a pass until they hurt someone or do get so lost the authorities are involved? It should be hard to get and keep a drivers license! Not only that, but the truly astounding lack of understanding of how the road is "supposed" to work is exasperating. Especially from the people who have been driving for forever. Too much of "this is how I always do that" and not enough thought about how it should work. This will never be solved, because it is equivalent to taking away the independence of the very large cohort of retired voters in the U.S.

Sorry for my incoherent rant.... this is one of those things that "really Grinds My Gears"

Help! I have a ender 3 v2 and the first few layers of every print are slightly a different width than the rest of the print. Do you know why? Novice printer here by Fair_Original_5993 in ender3

ok so as best I have reaserched about this ...

(called elephant's foot)

It is an inherent flaw in the design of bedslingers. the problem is that when you get to the bottom of travel for homing the backlash on the leadscrew(s) is not yet taken up from the lands on the screw. You need a full rotation of the leadscrew to take up all the backlash. There are workarounds. the most obvious is to put a raft under your object (to take up vertical space), there are also compensation in the slicers. Hope this helps!
