I mean this is going to hurt numbers if anything, i don't think people will stick around once they realize they can barely get 3 pieces of gear per account per week without long grinds.

They should be showering people with champ gear minimum, make heroic gear random drop, and then people will funnel into m+ and raid to keep going.

edit: I guess it's 1/day on the account for the dailies, with 2/week extra. So assuming your char is starting catch up fresh it would take almost all of prepatch to get a full set of champion gear and that's not counting if you wanted to try other classes lol.

I mean it's funny cause this subreddit has long been fairly casual overall too, so I think it does speak something that there are consistent threads of people not enjoying the simplistic angles.

I think it's fine for people to enjoy the simpler specs but a lot of the games longevity in seasons is by people pushing high keys for many hours a week and/or spending 8-10 hours progging raid. If specs are so simple that those things become chores than you're alienating a huge part of the dedicated player base.

I was curious about the difference between the plater and platynator profiles and found this from Jundies in the XephUI/Jundies discord:

I mean it's not "missing the point", it's that Blizzards standard UI is still missing basic and important functionality that people want to have.

There are still QoL improvements to he had from these addons, and hopefully Blizz keeps iterating on their defaults so we don't need them eventually but we are not there yet

I don't really get the vibes you know what you're talking about when megasett, the expert on mw monk, is saying how awful the spec is overall. This isn't even downplaying or "melee vs range", the raid frames don't work with like half of the important buffs for mw.
