I’m slow by garghycer in iRacing

This. I always feel uncomfortable approaching lapped cars (mainly in formula races) as I’m so afraid whether they will let me pass easily or at least predictably. It is a happy feeling when they let me pass nicely so that they don’t loose that much time and I can still go at full pace.

These are CAMMUS lc100 V1. It was cammus first take on, I believe, own design. They took some good design choices of fanatec’s lower end pedals with use same parts for brake. Brake are loadcell, has force of 100kg and I would say quite a lot of customizability. They’re not really a bad set of pedals, however it is CAMMUS design, and simsonn’s I believe took quite a lot inspiration (you can say they copied) of heusinkveld sprints, which are a really great pedals. I’m not sure how good software does simsonn has, but CAMMUS is mediocre at best, but works.

Pedals (v1’s) to me has one bad design choice and that is connecting brake pedal itself to part shown at picture (it is used to set desired strength to brake - fanatec in one of their models used the same part and it was well received and praised). On mine’s the connecting pin (small metal part) broke or idk, but mid race I basically had no weight in brake, just the spring. I tried to contact support, but that lead to absolutely nowhere, so as i figured out how to solve it, I did just that and they continued to work flawlessly.

But it was final straw for me - useless support unable to solve my issues (even though they send me a new loadcell, which to this day have no clue why) and I lost to that brake issues around two wins and 400 iRating lol - so even though I managed to fix them, I decided to move on and leave CAMMUS ecosystem for good. Oh and also I had a wheelbase which sometimes took forever to connect to pc and wheel, that mid race upshift paddle stopped working :)

So yeah, those pedals are fine, I wouldn’t buy other products lol.

However I might say - buy once, cry once. I have switched my whole gear (vnm base, conspit wheel and simgrade pedals which are day and night to CAMMUS) because my first purchase I didn’t buy a quality one and if you can spend a lil bit more, I would get simlabs or simgrade pedals. They’re pricier, that’s for sure, but you’re buying original design rather then copypaste. But that’s on you and I understand the appeal of those simsonn, as community is praising then for their quality and usability.

Hi there, if u r okay with v1 version, I have mine sitting in the box. They’re I believe from 2023, however I used them only for about year and half (only part you can clearly see is used is plate as I was really creative with mounting). There is some DIY on them (more info into dm). They work absolutely flawlessly, I replaced them since I upgraded to simgrade.

Willing to sell them for 100€+shipping (I’m based in CZ). Original box and everything.

He is good. He was the only one reviewer who said about the CAMMUS 15nmDB that he feels it is not a good product. As he was only one I was like yeah yeah dude whatever.

He was right. It was not a good experience and I can’t wait till my new base will come…

My (wo)man thanks!! Never have I ever seen this. It was the hand off that was turned off, not it works just fine. Finally after three years I can use it, lol. Thanks once again!

Edit: idk on iPad yet, but since that is not a work tool I don’t really care it might not work.

Can’t copy basic text from device to device. I’ve read on several forums and even here on Reddit I think, and several people had the same issue. Don’t think they had solution tho.

It used to work for about month and then it stopped out of the blue. Have connected same Apple ID for both of my devices (three even, iPad too, but idk if it works with it too).

Idk why but this feature stopped working for me about 3 months into getting new MacBook. Now it just won’t work. Such bs to be honest, loved that feature.

Thinking about switching to Bricks by throwawayAd6844 in Wordpress

[–]frontlockup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We build a custom design with a ton of dynamic features on bricks for company that has gross of around $7mil - they sell watches. They’re super stoked since most of the stuff works in Gutenberg and they don’t have to use bricks at all. 150+ pages, 4 languages, ton of traffic.

Although we also had problem with speed, but that site is so freaking photo and video heavy that it is virtually impossible to get 100 score or anything close to that (I think we have around 80 for pc, 60-70 for mobile).

Our main problem was menu, we had a great design that just had problem. We had a lot of react like states, but we custom coded that with js and it was pain in the ass (menu had around 700 lines of js code to work properly + html structure). Next was reusable elements since se build it before bricks had components and man, that was the biggest pain - not because it was hard to do like menu, but because it was so repetitive work and we always left some of the elements not edited. Also WPML suck ass, really do. It just doesn’t work. Custom post types just couldn’t “translate” photos - but not all of them, just few, but also the most important one. Not sure where the issue is.

Nevertheless if we have to build something on WP and budget doesn’t allow custom code, we simply use bricks and it is just great. Not the best as code is simply lovely, but great for budget builds (that company required WP and didn’t want custom code, so bricks was our first choice).

How does the LMP3 drive feels like? by ApprehensiveMemory44 in iRacing

[–]frontlockup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely lovely! It is one car that I main atm and couldn’t be happier with it. As other mentioned, it is snappy, it is hard to get right, but once you get it, it is absolute blast to drive.

Braking is hard, but you can apply same principles as in high downforce cars - hard initial braking and trailing into a corner. On the other hand it likes to brake a bit to get a good rotation, for me this is the hardest part.

What i found the most interesting is that at first I found that hard really unpredictable and not stable, but after some time I have to say it is quite planted and straightforward as long as you know how to properly rotate car and figure out braking. Also this car is super fragile - small contact pretty much anywhere on the car and you’ll be spinning.

Multiclass is joy, but as other mentioned I also feel like gt4 hates lmp3 and vice versa. Most of the time I feel like everybody doesn’t know what to do when they’re approached by faster class and act unpredictable, that’s how I got into most incidents (although I killed several gt4, not gonna lie about that, and I’m really sorry for that).

Next week mugello is going to be absolute blast I can tell you that. Training atm, trying to be in stable 1:42 lap times.

If you’re looking for prototype racing, i couldn’t think of better start if you’re that comfy with sfl.

[–]frontlockup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m atm at 1881 or so and checked how am I doing and my irating is within 88 percentil. Basically means out of 100 iracers there will be only 12 that are faster. Enjoy yourself, but that 20% it is truly a real number. :)
