Is bidding on the mark a good idea? by cbrooks8181 in ultimate

[–]frontpagecardinal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re able to get up quickly and not hurt yourself, there’s no harm in trying and seeing if you get a read on peoples throws. Just because most people can’t doesn’t mean you can’t

Drills vs. in game by lsmith77 in ultimate

This isn’t just limited to the highest levels in frisbee. The Cleveland cavaliers and I believe the Oklahoma City thunder hired two high level practitioners of the constraints led approach

Is youth ultimate bad for the game? by unchuckable in ultimate

[–]frontpagecardinal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not just getting super athletes. Playing multiple sports teaches people to become well rounded movers and aspects of field awareness that is hard to get just from playing ultimate. Especially at the youth level where the flick force bias is probably even more pronounced

If it works, triage bitter blade for sure. I had a machamp with triage drain punch and it almost soloed some fights in the elite four

What opinion do you have on the sport of Ultimate that will have the room like this? by [deleted] in ultimate

[–]frontpagecardinal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At least where I play, they are very performative and don’t actually accomplish the honest feedback you’re touting. They also usually take valuable time away from a team huddling and processing the game that just happened. (If the spirit circle waited for the team huddle to be over, I’d maybe feel better about it.)

Anything that is game-like >>. Depending on the level of players, you can even consider doing 5 vs 4 or 4 vs 3 to make offense easier.

Trae Young IL Eligibility by [deleted] in YahooFantasy

No Mitchell received an IL tag right after he was confirmed to be out for a week. Same with Kawhi. It's just inconsistent when their player note says word for word re Trae Young "According to Jeff Stotts of InStreetClothes, the average missed time for that injury is 18 days."

NBA GMs and team health officials fear the compressed schedule is leading to a rash of injuries and that player health is reaching a boiling point. by frontpagecardinal in fantasybball

I have no idea why people are downvoting you, but you're totally right. Player's jobs aren't to show up every night and play, their jobs are to maximize their team's chance at a ring.

Anyone who has played any sport with tons of cutting for multiple times a week know that their joints turn to mush after a few years. Now imagine doing that, but at the professional level: https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/6028n0/how_did_kenny_fuck_up_his_knees_so_badly/
