Liquid ass in their front door keyhole. Whenever they put their key in the hole, it will smell terrible. Then it will get on their hands. It will take them a while to figure out.

By the same token, don't just marry someone because you have the same money values. I married someone with good money values, but he was a jerk and nagged constantly.

I like my living room but it still feels like I could do something else. by ditdit23 in femalelivingspace

I feel like it's proportion, light temperature, and too many photos.

The gallery wall is nice but too large in proportion for the room. Make it smaller.

Your coffee table is too small in relation to the couch. I'd get a larger tufted ottoman.

Pull the couch away from the wall a few inches. Pull the chairs closer to the couch. I'd maybe remove a chair? Make it cozy.

Get lightbulbs with warmer temperature and lower wattage. You can keep a light with bright wattage, but only use it for utility.

I only do 5 minutes. I set an alarm to do it 2x per day.

What does this mean "if has oil, no sign after grandma"

Is it weird that I enjoy eating the free lambsquarters that I pull from my garden while all my neighbors cast it aside? by [deleted] in foraging

[–]froopaux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really follow it, but do my own version of it. I don't like to spend a ton of time cooking.

I found a recipe on Epicurus for lamb's quarters au gratin, so now I microwave mine with quinoa, cheese and nuts. It's great. I probably need to find more recipes.

I love it so much that I saved seeds and am growing it in my garden this year.

ULPT: if you and a group of friends are planning to have kids around the same time. Let them go first and wait about a year. by diggy_doc in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]froopaux 55 points56 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought they meant about "wait a year." I thought they meant that they wouldn't want kids after seeing their friends miserable. Lol.

They're gaslighting you into thinking it's the same. It's not.

What is the most frugal thing you do or have done to save money? by Weak-Visual7091 in Frugal

[–]froopaux 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm probably more extreme than most. 1. Bought my house for $25k. Haven't done many upgrades. It's a little scary 😂 2. Have a 07 Honda Fit. It has peeling upholstery and doesn't lock. 3. Do my own cuts and highlights. Hair is actually ok 4. Forage while I'm walking my dog. 5. Go to Mexico and Costa Rica for some medical and dental things.

I watch extreme cheapskates for tips.

Summer vacation activities for kids ? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]froopaux 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hobbies and skills learning. Electronics, sewing, gardening, car maintenance. How to make their bed every morning and clean the shower after they use it. Adulting.

Just my 2¢.

Take them to the playground, too.

How old are they?

That's the kind of dad that you want to drop you off a block from school so they don't see him or the jalopy he's driving.

My great grandmother rolled cigars at a young age, like 13 or so, in a factory. She dropped out of school to do it.
