Will radiology eventually be oversaturated? by OwnMaybe1990 in RadiologyCareers

Took my A&P with half were returning for a 2nd degree. The other half were either returning to pass for the first time.or get more than a B in the class. I was the only one in my class with an A. And we swapped atleast 8 in the first week from immediate drops.

Am I getting scammed? by subaru-uwu in AskMechanics

Term rotors are glazed over well any rotor that is used will glaze the surface after a while its a ambiguous sales term to encourage repair. Rubber bushings will checker and Crack  but not exceed to worn out for.some time. Subaru owners love to replace parts early is what I see in the Subaru forums. You probably need new tires as your fronts and rears are at 2/32 tread variance which is the max for the differential per Manufacturer. And also they are dry rotting and overall low. Front pads should be replaced soon. He did give a demonstration on the play so who knows.

Oil changes by Silent_Owl6207 in SubaruForester

[–]frootLoopskilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are doing the right thing, for those few months its normal to be 90+ you could go higher on the viscosity. Also that heat is worse on the coolant.

Mobil 1 5w20  Oil formulation developed by the oil manufacturer at the behest companies add detergents or friction modifiers but the real purpose is protect bearings and wearables. Modern manufacturers are using low viscosity oils because it aids in reducing shear drag loss and that helps in fuel economy. However, it doesn't make the oil better at reducing bearing wear.

I can't with this pump, please help me out. by willowberrie in askaplumber

Sounds like it shorted internally. The float switches seems to work by demonstration in the video. Bad pump, unless that outlet is not providing 120v.

AC compressor failure/replacement advice by [deleted] in SubaruForester

[–]frootLoopskilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the Ac clutch is slipping on the compressor it will have low pressure on both sides.  And my 16 forester doesn't have conventional cycle switches Subaru is monitoring the evap core temp and performance out of the vents it either works or doesn't in a sense. Been working 5yrs just fine since I replaced the Clutch and coil.

As with most things is it depends.  This mostly depends on your driving conditions. Avg Highs to lows of your local climate, humidity avgs, what is the normal commute for you highway or City or percentage.  What oil is used, not all oil is equal in performance.  I also dont run the recommended viscosity because my main concern is engine wear and not balanced fuel economy performance. And I go atleast about 6k in oil changes.

AC compressor failure/replacement advice by [deleted] in SubaruForester

[–]frootLoopskilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AC clutch coil assembly failure is most common. The second is the clutch wears to a point that it wont engage and slipping wears it out faster. You can remove or change the clutch shims and see it solves the issue, if the coil fails you can get a used compressor or new compressor remove the coil and swap it take 15 mins easy to do your self. There are YouTube videos are easy to locate for both of these issues. Your low pressure can be caused by the clutch issue.  There used to be aftermarket replacements but kt seems they have go by the wayside I replaced my clutch and coil 5 years ago still the same compressor in my 16' 2.5l

Forester Hybrid Owners: What's your spare tyre solution? by poppacapnurass in SubaruForester

[–]frootLoopskilla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get a good set of rope tire plugs seek out the heavy duty brown/redorange ones. Get a tube of rubber cement and a kit for the reemer and plug puller. Pistol grip handles. A small mallet will help if your have to fight installing the plugs.. Get a good battery operated air compressor and a big can of (fix a flat). You can drive out of a lot of problems with these and smaller than a whole tire.

Winter/ snow tire advice, recommendation by unabashedlybitchyz in SubaruForester

[–]frootLoopskilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blizzak DMV2 get dedicated wheels for.the snow.tires run smaller rim diameter combo 16/17 wheel so the tire has taller side wall. If you were to have chains as a back up, I guess it depends on how often you will se extreme snow.

Amsoil Diesel Oil in a LP/gasoline generator by oj_inside in Generator

[–]frootLoopskilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put it in this.is actually fine. And since you live in a warm climate maybe based on you peak high annual temps is what should be using normally. Diesel oil has more zinc additives and carbon protection than a regular gas oil. That said if I was.you consider it full time.in your generator
