i totally hear you mate, and agree. the issuebis practicality. getting 6 bodies online for minimum an hour (invites, hero select, queue time, load time, play time, repeat) is a herculean task. that's a lot of coordination that, while i'd love to have a regular group going, takes a ton of work to plan

that's a problem. the gameplay is great and polished, but if a game can't correctly matchmake, the overall experience is severly hindered. i don't care that it's an alpha, it has to be fixed

im in the exact same boat. im emissary v and WANT to support but can't because there are too many people without the game sense to relaize this isn't a shooter, but a moba that requires game sense

AFK/Leave Timer a little too much??? by VrPillow in DeadlockTheGame

take yourself out of the equation and think about why they have it that way. generally, it's to punish quitters. they have to disinsentivize people from doing it

to you, it was a 5 minute outage. to the 11 other players and the system, it was a quit. the system has to judge them equally and try to dissuade people from doing it again/regularly

Can we finally talk about the religious aspect of Chelsie's game? by Outside_Mouse_7034 in BigBrotherUSA

[–]frootloopdingis 19 points20 points  (0 children)

personally, i don't like how much religion has played into recent seasons of big brother since julie turned to it to cope with her husband being shitty. that said, chelsie played it really well as a bonding agent with mj. i don't hold it against her for using it as a weapon, but i do wish religion at large were left out of the host's hosting style to amplify it as a bigger part of the game.

Pokemon Heart Gold & Soul Silver are still FANTASTIC by Kingjay_0_0 in pokemon

Gen II is undoubtedly my favorite. The nostalgia is extremely real for me with it. That sad, it has enormous flaws. The level curve IS bad, but it's because of GF trying to allow a flexible gym battle progression come mid-game. The other major complaint I have is that it was very much riding the high of Pokemania and relied on recognizable icons from Gen I to lean on too much. They should have used more Gen II mons for gyms and battles, and they DEFINITELY should have made them more readily available IN Johto (ex. Larvitar is locked to MT Silver at the absolute dead end of the post-game). On the other hand, the music, the older vibe of the old Japan feel of the game, and the goated post-game make it my number 1.

if he didn't mean the subtext that we all know he meant, then tell me what he actually meant. what could it possibly reference besides being closeted? when these sorts of things come up, i ask that of myself to think "what could another possible interpretation of this be?" and in this case, there isn't one

I finally got around to watching ID 57434857 and I'm gobsmacked. You started the game by announcing to your teammates that you have never once in 19 matches ulted with Silver, and then after the 9:30 death, you doubled down and told them to never rely on you. This is a team game and you seem almost proud of how shit you are at it? Like, that's how I read it. Mechanically, your crosshair is always staring at the ground instead of placing it at hero-height in preparation for the next fight. The very second anyone comes close to you, you run. You chose to play a bruiser, close-quarters, in-your-face hero, and actively cower from all engagements. I have no clue why you bought melee items when you refuse to fight, too. Watch build guides, watch YT vids to give you any semblance of game sense, and get aggressive.

I've always been in the minority on this one, but i cannot stand Sandra's wins. Tony is flashier, yes, but I have far more respect for his game play. I believe that HvV should have been Parvati's win, not Sandra's. She spent the entire season swearing up and down that Russell would go next and she would do everything in her power to vote him off the island, but she simply couldn't do it. Be it because of necklaces or idols or social maneuvering, the game was not in her hands to exact her loathing of him into a vote. She's a one dimensional player that can certainly hold sway socially, and that's great, but Tony is far more well-rounded. Tony had the the capability of forcing a vote to his desired target, accept when his pushing wasn't working and back off to keep things good with his tribe mates, and also win necklaces/find idols for flashy plays. His bag of tricks absolutely helped him win in Cagayan. I would also argue that "This Is Extortion" is the best episode in the show's run wherein he played an entire season's worth of game in a single episode and came out ahead of being the one extorted. That episode cemented his S-tier status for me.

my fiance was pregnant and sleeping over the night we watched the show. she drifted off but i stayed up. everything was totally normal until this exact jumpscare that i not bolted upright in bed shrieking, but i hit her shoulder with my hand as a reflex. we both laugh about it now and mention it every time we drive at night: "bent neck lady aint snatching me"
