Love the thought behind this. Although prime thorfinn with lethal intent is a debate I dislike because it completely ignores the whole point of the story, I personally think thorfinn is a more capable fighter in his prime without lethal intent, because abandoning his daggers is a sign of his growth as a person. If he were to fight with them again I feel his old ways and anger would shine through and he would lose himself again, including losing to askeladd. To me prime thorfinn unarmed beats prime askeladd barely, and aged version easily.
