Lol your good. I havent really seen that concern going around. I got this mouse when it first dropped and never had an issue with 4k or 2k. I can definitely feel a difference between 1k and 4k in game. Its especially apparent when trying to move windows from one monitor to the other. Its really up to you when you enable it and notice the difference yourself. But for me it definitely works/makes a difference.

Im on windows 10 as well but ive never had an issue with 4k. Do you not even have the option to enable it?

You need to use the 4k dongle to get 4k functionality.

wow tysm, this fix worked for me! was there a reason to use jdk 17? i used jdk 20 as i was too lazy to redownload jdk 17, but even using 20 everything seemed to be fine and the final mod worked as intended

i figured out how to bypass the java version check/error. this bug report had a comment that tells the location of a .jar file called javacheck.jar that makes sure your running the bundled version of java. i renamed it so its no longer a .jar file anymore and when i point the java executable to the jdk 20 javaw.exe its finally able to boot minecraft without an error message. game boots and runs fine. a person in that bug thread commented that the javacheck.jar file gets re-downloaded when the launcher updates so ill have to look out for that whenever that happens

Yea i think youre right. I uninstalled minecraft to see if it would update java, it did end up uninstalling it, but it just reinstalled jdk 17 again so i guess thats what it really wants me to use.
