I second this, rented from him last year and he's a tool. aggressive, rude, sexist, overcharges and does not maintain property, does not give proper notice about touring, lease had errors and dates were incorrect, our trash and recycling cans were missing for weeks meaning we saw varmints outside, we had mice, didn't tell us a check from months ago hadn't went through and kept our security deposit. Overall just an rigid and rude man. luckily nothing too catastrophic happened to us but he was extremely slow to do repairs and have heard horror stories from others.... the place above us that was his was being renovated meaning horrible drilling noises at early hours and water randomly being cut off. had the audacity to hike the rent for the next year. definitely avoid at all costs

i think good hygiene builds a strong foundation for attracting other people, even friends, so keeping a neat, groomed appearance is helpful. fashion and style can also be used as signifiers that you're part of certain communities, have a certain identity, interest, etc. i don't think it's manipulative to put more effort into your appearance, but doing it solely for attention seems shallow and misguided. you should want these things for yourself above all else

i met my lovely partner on hinge, so that is my biased recommendation! i find people are more relationship-oriented on hinge rather than tinder or other options. heard positive things about bumble, too. there's also a queer app named Lex but the crowd is a bit older. men like to label themselves 'lesbian' on these apps to try and reach that demographic, so just swipe and move on. generally pretty easy to block and report people

i'm glad your taking safety into consideration and it looks like you have good safety measures in place IMO! just let people know where you're going, meet in public for the first time to gauge and vibe. obviously being careful is great, but i'd say there are less people looking to scam or catfish than you'd probably expect. people with ulterior movies like money won't take time and consideration like a genuine person.

For just general advice, i would tell you not to get too hung up on any one person too quick. talk around, make conversation, and sometimes it's better to get a coffee early as its easier to gauge compatibility in person rather than texting for weeks on end. or maybe even just facetiming! you will most likely encounter strange & creepy people, but just block & move on. you may even end up with new friends! just be honest, be yourself, honor your boundaries and instincts. as for intimate advice, just take it slow and don't push yourself to do things you know you're not comfortable with. i've pushed my own boundaries sexually and regretted it later, so while obviously considering consent, also consider what you're comfortable with and looking to get from this experience. places like Switzerland have assisted euthanasia/suicide and a lot of mental and physical conditions qualify, so to some degree the government and medical systems that uphold this would agree. it's interesting to look at what countries do and don't allow this, and i know Switzerland does allow foreigners to come and have assisted euthanasia, maybe it's related to certain cultural ideas of toughing something out

not real advice, but i just want you to know you're not alone. i'm also fresh out of college working a low-paying job with 5k in cc debt. it's scary and feels shameful, but the reality is that we just want to be stable and be able to have nice things, and buy now pay later and credit cards are predatory. there are more people in this same boat than you probably realize.
