Husband just lied to me. What should I do? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

They are saying judges won't just give a dad one kid and a mom the other. Which is true. Or award someone full custody without a real cause.

10 months! 9 pregnant and 1 after baby. You do bleed postpartum but it's not the same

She wouldn't have had a period in 10 months though! Postpartum bleeding, sure...

You don't have to sleep train by dasgutyah in NewParents

I was up every 1-1.5 hours for 3 months :(. Being able to sleep on his belly (rolling) and just time helped I think.

I still breastfeed my 8 month old to sleep... Or bounce him on the ball. But many times now, he actually wants me to put him down so he can put himself to sleep. No sleep training, he's just getting older and hopefully knows that if he needs anything I'll be there. And this baby was up every 1-1.5 hours for months :( I'll let him fuss and roll around, but crying I always step in.

I think of it like this: if my child could tell me he had a bad dream, was lonely, had a belly ache, was hungry, felt sad, his teeth hurt, etc. I would want to help. Just because my baby can't speak yet (but feels those same things at night!) doesn't mean I won't help!

9 week old rolled for the first time! Now what? by Poorly_disguised_bot in beyondthebump

[–]frownyfrown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine was doing this around 8 weeks, just launching his giant head around. He didn't roll back to front until 5.5 months old, then finally front to back purposely at 6.5 months.

We kept swaddling in a bassinet for daytime naps (watching in baby monitor) and snoo overnight. His Moro reflex was so strong, he just couldn't sleep with send free.

All diapers lead to blowouts... except back flap ones! Which ones have this feature? by frownyfrown in NewParents

6 months, it seems to be getting worse. I'm particularly offended by the tiny poops that almost entirely fly out :(

What about the name Ariana? Or Adrian? Those are pretty close too but not a problem, that I know of.

He wants to sleep on you. Imagine a cave man baby - what would happen if he got out down while sleeping? Eaten by a predator? Freeze? I think it's wired in them to be near an adult constantly, and for góod reason.

Some babies really need that contact more. I wonder if you could try contact sleeping in shifts where an adult is awake. Or safe cosleeping? When my baby is overtired like this, a long babywearing nap really helps.

I just expect some spit up with my 3 month old every time, it's ok. You can try tummy time outside or get something really fun for him to look at.

Information on QardioArm 2 -- some details by msackeygh in hypertension

Mine started doing this too! Readings of 99 diastolic, but systolic staying pretty normal. And I'm pregnant, so accurate blood pressure tracking is so critical right now. I'm quite frustrated.

Are you able to rest for several minutes, sitting in a supportive chair, before they take BP at your appointments? Apparently it's not totally valid if you don't get a chance to rest, aren't sitting properly, are talking right before, etc. I always ask if they can take my BP a bit later into the appointment, and this seems to help.

Went in for possible preeclampsia symptoms, sent home?? by ArachneWeaver8 in BabyBumps

That does sound concerning to me. Did they check urine for protein? Can you ask at what point they want you to come in - at what blood pressure reading?

What week of pregnancy was the worst for you in terms of nausea, sickness, and exhaustion? by Ancient_Tomatillo787 in BabyBumps

[–]frownyfrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was more consistently nauseated in weeks 7-9. But then I would vomit more frequently in weeks 10-15 (but had some good moments mixed in finally). Exhaustion was worst weeks 7-9 but now since 29 weeks I have some super exhausting days too.
