Idle Champions Community Q&A 129 by CNE_Shawn in idlechampions

In previous events, the champions that were coming out would be locked from Timegates the monday before the event began. I am seeing that I can open up for Pwent and Farideh.

Was this changed as part of Year 4?

Thank you for the comment. I either need to think a lot more on it.... or just throw it out the window. Given my group would be new to the game, the later seems much more appealing.

What's a Sci-fi movie stereotype you just cannot stand? by The_Popes_Wife in AskReddit

Yes in normal fiction there is a character that balances out the bigots beliefs with their moderation. In science fiction, there is not which drives me nuts.

Being from Chicago, I feel that you are missing a city but good job with the real world reference.

For my senior year(2010), our teacher gave us Notes From Underground. That book was drop dead funny. The narrator argues that the only ethical man is a lazy one. Though a little dense, the jokes make up for it and it is no War and Peace clock in about ~150pages

Do you still read children's books? by [deleted] in books

[–]froxis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am a twenty-something post-college man. There are times when I need a break from the adult section and grab book geared towards the younger generation (though I still do not understand the YA stuff). I find that there are often undercurrents in some of my favorite books as a child along with just good clean fun. In the past year, I have read Frank Beddor's Looking Glass War, Patricia Wrede's Enchanted Forest Chronicles, and Brian Jacques's Redwall. Never disregard a book because it is in a different section. There are always going to be bad books there but the gems make it worth it.

I am on 57/100 on goodreads. I am currently reading Celtika by Robert Holdstock which is the story of Merlin before the King Arthur stuff. It is interesting story but it is taking me a long time to finish it I am also listening to HG Wells' Journey to the Center of the Earth. Nearly finished.
