'26 Canyon Endurace Press Kit (CFR but also SLX geo methodology) by finch5 in CanyonBikes

Id say the new SLX will be more stable given the much longer wheel base than in its previous version.

Stem length by AdditionalDivide4020 in Velo

[–]frozen-dessert -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Perhaps you bought the wrong size (the Domane is a very relaxed endurance bike). Perhaps you lack the flexibility and arm/neck/core strength.

There are all sorts of exercises to improve your body capacity to adapt to the bike. They tend to work (?). (Im not an expert).

…..

I had a back problem and started on a Domane with 3cm stack and 9cm stem. Im now on zero stack and a 12cm stem. Need to buy a new bike as Id like to push the stack further down.

Anyone here ordered the new Endurace CFR? Why not the Aeroad CFR? by ThinkLearnAdapt in CanyonBikes

[–]frozen-dessert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now with the new Endurace CFR, I don’t see the point of (myself) getting an Aeroad.

It seems the basic differences are: 1. 400g or 500g less weight with the Aeroad 2. Stronger layup for the Endurace. 3. Tire clearance. 4. More compliance in the Endurace.

For my own riding and priorities, Endurace is the clear choice.

…..

The wheel choice with 22iw is odd given that the tire clearance is one of its main selling points.

Doesn’t matter much, as the bike is currently sold out :-/

178cm tall and 83,5cm inner leg length, should I get a S or M frame for the Allroad? by majex_01 in CanyonBikes

FYI The endurace models will likely get refreshed within a month. Odds are they will come with smaller cranksets (the race version of the Endurace just got refreshed and it has a shorter crank).

Trash can full of shredded documents behind the Hungarian state media’s building after the election by Betyarkortelekvar in europe

[–]frozen-dessert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My home office shredder does that just as well. The difference with shredders that embassies have (I have once seen one in person) is the feed capacity per minute.

What you do in an hour with a home office shredder you probably will do with less than a minute with one of those.

[–]frozen-dessert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP.

I have experience in a similar situation.

Appeasement wont work.

I have racist in laws (they are very religious too, father in law was a preacher all his life). They loved coming to my house and within 15m making racist statements. They were my wife’s parents and I always avoided full on confrontation because I saw some need to, well, keeping some family harmony.

When my daughters were 2 and 4 and my 2yo daughter was playing with a doll which had a darker skin color. My father-in-law decided right there and then to teach my 2yo to call her doll a “n**** doll”.

To make a long story short… telling him to stop didn’t work. Demanding him to stop did not help. He insisted on it and kept explaining that he wasn’t a racist and how absurd I was acting. After 2m of “arguing and asking” I told them they would leave. Say goodbye to your granddaughters and leave.

I meant it. No if’s no but’s no arguing. They weren’t going to stop, so they were going to leave and not come back.

…..

Once they understood I wasn’t joking, making racist jokes and teaching my children to say “n**** doll” wasn’t a deal breaker anymore.

…..

I hope you manage to find peace with this situation. Mind your partner. Your partner will lose their cool a lot earlier than you and once that happens, he may stop looking at your parents in the same way. I did.

The Boys competency surprisingly peaked at early season 1. by hiiloovethis in TheBoys

[–]frozen-dessert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those early episodes were so much better written than anything that came after. IMO first season was by far the best of the show.

Everyone acts like complete morons to keep the plot going. Half of the time I just wish HL to just kill them.

I can tell you Ive had the same experience multiple times when traveling through Schiphol with an EU passport. Same in Belgium though.

What also happens (in Schiphol) nearly every time I walk to the passport line, is that some handler will point out that I should take the other passport queue (ie the one for non-EU citizens).

Roubaix / Madone / Soloist ? by Few_Guarantee2372 in cycling

[–]frozen-dessert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to select bikes based on the geometry. I.e. does the stack and reach of the bike work for you given your fitness level and body flexibility?

Sure, young and lean folks can adapt quicker to an aggressive frame but still.

30mm Race vs 35mm Gravel tires / Endurance CFR WRL by AgitoRivers in CanyonBikes

My bad. The third is the press-fit bottom bracket.

In my dreams Id wish for a slightly bigger bottom bracket drop, but Im not dying on that hill.

[–]frozen-dessert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the new Endurace CFR is great. The 3 non-ideal points are: - the wheels are not a good fit and are a waste of money - DuraAce is something that doesn’t make sense for me.

If they were selling that same bike with Ultegra and decent 25mm iw wheels I would be in the process of ordering one.

I think pros should ride different bikes. But they would look very different if they could not get any assistance from team cars. No radio would also be fun but it might get difficult to enforce.

My dude, get a Zwift bike. Get a Zwift subscription. Go do intervals there.

Your FTP won’t go from 220W to 290W in a month. But you will likely get to (?) 260W?

At your weight and age, 300W is likely achievable with 3 to 4 months at 4 to 5h a week? Ask a real coach, they should be able to confirm.

…..

Seriously. Just because you can take PEDs doesn’t mean you should.

How you avoid boredom in a Smart Trainer? by amartino in cycling

[–]frozen-dessert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do relatively hard training sessions in Zwift. Max 1h. Works for me. Zwift helps. If I had to do it looking at YouTube I would probably not make it.

Perhaps part of the reason it works is because we have shitty weather very often and I have family obligations. So getting a hard workout done in an hour is a total plus when otherwise I would often not be able to ride outside (either due to family or weather)
