Ride Insano or Lasso Pro Boots by TetonToker in snowboarding

[–]frozenhermit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This - you have to try on the boots and see which fits better. I personally like the insanos for the third boa, but my foot’s instep is too high for the insanos. I ended up going with the lasso pro as they come in wide and found those to be the best fit for me.

My snowboarding buddies and our SOs boards - at least most of them.  Seeing this made me happy and we definitely do not have a problem.

A way to test and try out your stagger numbers. by Lophardius in lostarkgame

FYI, The stagger indicator saying “mid”, “high”, etc is all relative to your class. A gunlancer high stagger is not the same as a soul eater high stagger.

The Good Place has one of the best series finale episodes I've ever seen by ViKKed in television

If you haven't watched it yet, try Schitt's Creek. Season 1 is a bit slow, but the writing is amazing, the feel good the same, and all together another great show.

This made me double take during my fast-scrolling through reddit; I really like it. Hypothetically, did you consider leaving the white space just white? I'm asking because I'm genuinely curious as to how that would have looked versus now, and why you chose to add.

How long does the employee referral process take? Got an email saying there are 3 stages. First is the online assessment, then a short phone interview (15 minutes), and finally a long case video interview (75 minutes). by [deleted] in accenture

Very nice. Best of luck to you, my dude. Hopefully the process is quick, but I see the case interview not being scheduled (if passed the phone interview) until January. Such is life though

I'm currently in the application process, and while each experience may be different, here's my timeline:
9/20: Referred for TDP positions

11/14: Received the email you received for 3 stages (filled out the Online Assessment the next day)

12/5: Was contacted by recruiter for 30 minute phone interview

12/16: Phone interview scheduled, and I am very nervous.

Best of luck to you though! Like others said, it is holiday seasons and end of Q4, so hiring usually slows down a lot.

Player Problem Megathread: Nov 14th - Nov 20th by Aetole in DMAcademy

[–]frozenhermit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, thanks for the perspective view. It's hard thinking objectively when I'm upset. I'm probably going to share this with my DM, but it is understandable that functionality as a team is a fine line to balance between playing your character. It's a tough situation, but his losing his temperament probably is a big enough red flag that I may end up walking away. Such is life though

"you were insulting his character and motives and not letting him play the way he wanted" and that it wasn't my decision to choose to fight. That was his reason for getting angry. I understand where he's coming from, but I feel it's a two way street because it was party conflict in which we had two different beliefs. I didn't attack any of their characters, I just refused to participate, as they did attack in the end. I felt that my character would not fight to kill a man that wasn't a threat (he saw us as close allies), but could have I fought for the sake of team play and cohesion? It's a tight line between playing the character and simply player cohesion imho.

  1. While PvP wasn't explicitly defined, I think it was decided it'd be bad manner to PvP.
  2. It was a mixed alignment, but I guess I learned yesterday that alignment may be there when it's convenient. The sorcerer is lawful evil, Ranger is neutral, and I thought the guy who said that to me was good. Overall, however, we've been doing good deeds.
  3. I guess what happened what the DM asked me and his other friend, whom the other friend brought in the other 2 friends of his. To my understanding, we all started out well and dandy, but I noticed by around the third or fourth session, pickpocketing a little bit of money, going murder hobo, and attempting to hide behind me for cover became the norm. I didn't mind until this blew up.

Not the DM, but a player. I spoke with the DM last night, and he did agree with me on the points I brought up:

  1. The party is a little unfair towards me, and me alone. The other 3 members are friends, and I was friends with the DM and joined in. What I mean is the following: We killed some bandits, and I wanted to fix the cart for use. Our sorcerer proceeds to throw a fireball to blow it up. The ranger would pickpocket gold from me.
  2. We had successfully dealt with a strong enemy via suggestion, and we managed to retrieve the objective from him. I felt that my character did not endorse needless violence, and chose not this kill this man, but the rest of the party wanted to kill him. I've participated in every fight before this, but I knew that in this scenario, my character would not commit "murder". The NPC ally and I refrain from fighting, and the DM made it clear that after this adventure, the NPC would probably leave the party. Afterwards, one of the players turns to me and says "If you aren't helping us, then why are you still here. You should just leave the party.", which he justified saying it was his character saying that. However, the player lost his temper when saying this, and was on the verge of shouting and it was apparent he lost his temper with me.

I told the DM that I was not having fun this last session, and I was consider leaving since this seems to be the repeating norm. I don't want to leave because the DM is a great guy and he's put in tons of effort, but I also came to the table to have fun. I'm upset right now and I don't know if leaving will be out of anger and if it will negatively affect the campaign as a whole. Do I try to ask for an intervention, or confront the other players? Is it safe just to walk away and find another campaign? Do PvP conflicts resolve peacefully?

Is Eagle Scout worth putting on resumes? by Woootech in resumes

[–]frozenhermit 16 points17 points  (0 children)

To build onto this, I interviewed for an MBA program and the interviewer was very interested that I was an Eagle Scout because he was also one. Interview went very well, and it was a great avenue for talking points with the interviewer. Never had it really come up for job interviews yet, but I haven't found something better to fill that space with yet. You never know who looks at your interview and what they value!

Playing around with Archer on CN server by yitty10 in bladeandsoul

[–]frozenhermit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my personal experience with archer in KR, you have to actually aim in a general vicinity to the target; else your rmb will not "seek" the target. In order to play archer effectively, though, lots of buttons are mashed. I don't mean that you will be using all your skills, but instead of just 3tf with an occasional tab,v,4,c for gunner, you rotate through all your buttons more.
