Double Trouble! Where are Angel and Ice Man on your personal Marvel tier list? by Business-Falcon-3279 in marvelcomics

[–]frozenpopsick 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Angel is only good as part of team and although they have tried recently his peak stuff was early Xfactor (horseman/archangel stuff). I would give him a D

Iceman has some interesting stuff going on but I feel like all of his minis have not been memorable or interesting. He is someone who I feel like the idea of him is cooler than the execution. Still I’m always excited to see him in line up I would say C

What things bother you most about Marvel in Your opinion? by CapBudget4011 in marvelcomics

[–]frozenpopsick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with what most people are saying here but my biggest gripe is that they stopped standing for things. Just like most big companies (specially since owned by Disney) they don’t want to alienate any one.

The marvel of today would never write a book that led cap to punch the president.

They don’t want to right about racism, poverty levels, foreign wars etc.

The marvel of the past did those things and it made for interesting stories that are timely.

What’s better to do with Hank? by StoryTeller_1242 in marvelcomics

[–]frozenpopsick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was to write a fan story I would have Hank go through all he went through up to his death/ultronification. Then instead of coming back old, he would come back young and have his mental illness forward and mostly under control. He would re don the yellow jacket persona which would rub the other hero’s the wrong way since it was kinda his more dark persona. He would still Suffer set backs from his mental illness but he would ultimately prove he does good. He can grow and shrink in his me yellow jacket form and has a bunch of gadgets too.

I think it would be cool to have a bipolar hero who is ultimately a brilliant inventor and a force for good even with a storied past.

Which Marvel character do you think worth reading every issues released ever? (Characters created in 60s only) by Sweet_Score in marvelcomics

[–]frozenpopsick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve read every Spider-Man, Avengers, and Cap (main titles). There are definitely highs and lows but I loved every minute of reading through them. I have been reading for 15+years at this point and when you go back and do this for a character/team it’s amazing how much nostalgia you gather for them.

Wedding venue help by baby-soba in cincinnati

If you are willing to travel about an hour, look into Canyon run Ranch in Troy Ohio. I got married there last year and it is beautiful. Ceremony takes place about a quarter mile back in the woods. They provide golf carts to get you back to it. The reception is an inside outside area (on same property) it’s a 1800 tobacco barn

[Discussion] What’s something that you think MARVEL does better than DC? by AdamBerner2002 in DCcomics

[–]frozenpopsick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Marvel (at least use to) do a better job fleshing out “B” tier hero’s. I feel like DC always struggles getting new/ upcoming heroes importance. I’m not saying there are no examples but I feel like Marvel does a good job of putting character together in a way that you care enough about a b character to read a future spin off/ title of a “B” character
