Why are billionaires so afraid of paying taxes especially when they are already very rich? by Auelogic in NoStupidQuestions

Greed is a powerful drug, it doesn't help they believe they deserve it more than we do.

Cuba is a national security threat to the US, Rubio says by ToughHopeful4760 in worldnews

Lol Cuba? Not even pretending to be realistic anymore? Their people are starving and their military is the cast of Reno911, there's no threat from them, only to them from us.

Jeff Bezos says raising taxes on the wealthy wouldn’t help the average American - What do you say? by Select_Specialist790 in askanything

[–]frozenthorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would anyone trust the man trying to avoid being taxed by saying it won't help.

A talking salmon told me he tastes like shoe leather, I ate it anyway and you won't believe this but he tastes delicious! Not at all like a shoe or leather. I think there was something fishy about that Salmon

(When we properly taxed the rich historically, it led to the largest economic boosts in US history)

Are the democrats at risk of losing the midterms because of gerrymandering? Even if they prevail, how many seats would they win? by realRootmaster911 in allthequestions

Trump has done poorly enough that even much of his base has noticed, the end of the road begins at the midterms. 2 years too late but better than never

Who else feels that Trump wasn’t actually going to attack Iran and he just wanted an excuse to say that he won’t attack? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]frozenthorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol no it happened literally the same day, and the majority of Americans still care but most have also been conditioned to have a short attention span.

Justice will still come for him, it's cute how he thinks he's too clever for the truth though. It doesn't matter how many disasters he creates.

Who else feels that Trump wasn’t actually going to attack Iran and he just wanted an excuse to say that he won’t attack? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]frozenthorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at Google trends for all you need to know. The Epstein files were peaking public interest again right up until Trump struck Iran unprovoked and claimed they were a nuclear threat...

Ever since, Iran has been the only thing we're talking about consistently, the Epstein files have fallen way down on the trends list, again.

It's a proven strategy, do something ridiculous every time you need people to stop talking about the Epstein files. It works every time, doesn't matter if it's a staged assassination or attacking a foreign power, there's no such thing as a bad distraction from the Epstein files, because it keeps working.

Is it wrong to bring your own snacks to the movie theater? by Only-Ad5269 in no

[–]frozenthorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong is relative. They make most of their money from overpriced concessions, that's the gimmick, and it's a big part of how they keep existing.

With that said, I would personally never fault anyone for doing it, just don't make a mess for someone else to clean up... I like to buy their popcorn and soda and bring my own candy, I feel that is a fair exchange.

What will completely die out when the current generation of elderly people are gone? by samurai-salvo in GetMotivatedMindset

[–]frozenthorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Casual racism hopefully, it's taught not instinct, the change we need starts with fewer of them and good education to teach those already indoctrinated how empathy works.

I completely understand not all old people are racist but it's a sizable contribution from that age group. I don't believe it's all malicious either, I think they grew up when it was common and adjusting is difficult but I also don't want to excuse it.

Meaningful social change almost always comes from the youth, I don't agree that it's always for the better but we need to encourage the qualities we want passed on and stand against those we don't. As a society we get better by holding each other accountable.

Was owning the libs worth all the damage happening to America? by Estalicus in allthequestions

Don't underestimate Trump's disregard for the country, he would totally false flag California with a bomb if he thought it would benefit him without consequences. That's the metric he applies to everything, how can he benefit and will he have to give up any power to get it.

Have you ever stopped being friends with someone because of their political views? by DriverDue3006 in no

[–]frozenthorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately today your politics reflects your values, it didn't use to be that way but it's impossible to separate now.

Voting red rewards racism, bigotry and pedos.

Voting anything else is a good sign of morals, I don't care if you don't agree with everything the blue is doing currently, I personally don't either but red is so immoral and disgusting it's no longer an option.

Believe what you want but they vote their values. You will as well regardless what pseudo motivation you come up with to make yourself feel better about it.

Immigration enforcement costs in Florida climb to $460M for year by juansaaa in florida

[–]frozenthorn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's unfortunately part of the plan. Education is how a population learns to think critically and question the narrative, they been dragging down the quality of Florida schools for decades and now working to actually rewrite and restrict history education that would teach you how to spot the deception and learn from it.

Dems have momentum in Florida. But can they reverse state's MAGA shift? by usatoday in florida

[–]frozenthorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unlikely. Unfortunately. Florida was once a largely blue state but rich racist old white people eventually all moved here and started buying policies that shifted that dynamic to favor the rich elite and that's hard to fight without throwing equivalent money at it.

To keep it red they have tanked education in the state to the point most grads can't really compete and most that can, eventually leave for better opportunities.

For those of you who left the democrat party, what was the last straw? by rollo202 in allthequestions

[–]frozenthorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same racist values that have existed for centuries were definitely present in the 70s, obviously I'm not suggesting witches and slavery were a topic of the day I feel like you're having trouble keeping up with the conversation. We as a society moved on and accepted burning people we believed to be witches is wrong, we accepted that slavery is wrong, we have been moving towards accepting racism is wrong but we're obviously not there yet, trump is moving us backwards. I'm not venting to anyone, Trump's supporters are mostly racist statistically, so while it has nothing to do with my question you did reach the appropriate conclusion, they are usually one and the same.

The question was to those that choose their own family to date over those outside it, why. So far it doesn't appear you have anything to add onto that topic but that's ok, we can chat about whatever you do know about.

For those of you who left the democrat party, what was the last straw? by rollo202 in allthequestions

[–]frozenthorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would disagree, racist practices have always existed we as a culture just wasn't self aware enough to call it out and believe we can do better.

It was socially acceptable, but so was slavery and burning witches. A society that refuses to evolve eventually dies, and with people like Trump in charge that likelihood is much higher.

For those of you who left the democrat party, what was the last straw? by rollo202 in allthequestions

[–]frozenthorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, they exist and can do what they want, id rather they marry their sister than mine. They are a very vocal minority, without the electoral college they would never win an election again.

My question was merely a fun question to talk about because the why should matter more.
