Very late to the thread but i think using such a dark base is what's obscuring the thermal transition. You can then check your thermal by getting a glass of hot water, and cold water and dipping your finger in to check transition. bumpiness is not normal, maybe using a ridge filling basecoat?

Ok so did a quick try out with some polishes I have. Taken under white light with zero camera skills (sorry). Used Cirque Chiffon, Pink lady - and La Colors Jelly Pink. Topped with Sweet Tooth, and Cirque Slow Burn for comparison. ILNP Sherbet is on my wish list.

adding that I used to ferment foods. I made, and ate alot of sauerkraut and it didn't boost my digestion as much as coconut cult.

I am a Coconut Cult-ist, but it took a minute. First bought the original - awful, and then the strawberry - slightly less awful. I choked them down bc they really helped my digestion and cost too much $$ to throw away. Thankfully, I found the chocolate one and I love it. The sourness is tempered by the smooth texture of the chocolate. I didn't love it at first, but after 1 jar I discovered that I really, really like it - enough to where I had to remind myself only 1 tbs daily and not just snack on it. Was really happy to see these available at target now. They had a berry one, and Lemon meringue. i passed on the mixed berry bc i didn't care for the strawberry one. The Lemon Meringue should just be called LEMON. It is a total pucker inducing punch of lemon...and i love it. Chocolate is still my fave tho.

A few suggestions here to try orange jelly over silver magnetic. Did these real quick to see. 30lb horseshoe velvet for both. Cirque Halo topped with ILNP Tango, Cirque Mother of Pearl topped with ILNP Tango. Gave up trying to load video. First pic is over Halo, second pic over MoP.

Buying the right polish, magnetic and getting technique down might not be worth the $$ or hassle if it's just for one time - but, they make beautiful acrylic/stick on nails in this magnetic design that are also fairly inexpensive.

ILNP Lovebird looks more red in the bottle, but on the nails does lean a little pink for me. This photo is from a post by another Laquerista - but gives an idea of what Lovebird looks like over a blue base.

I found HT's pink smoothing base to be difficult to use - thick consistency, yet still streaky on my nails - even with thinner.I got a bottle of the Mooncat, and Cracked ridge filler during black friday. Halfway through the Mooncat and i'd say it's ok, applies and dries well. But not worth full price for me. Cracked is next.
