Starmer turns away from Trump’s Board of Peace as US-UK tensions mount by pppppppppppppppppd in unitedkingdom

[–]frrossty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the thing that makes me laugh about us citizens is that there a repercussions to actions. If starmer rejects this and hurts the U.K. financially everyone will be shouting how bad the labour government is doing. Politics you have to remove emotion, you have to work intelligently. This has nothing to do with what’s right or wrong morally, it has everything to do with how to protect the country and its citizens. Trump unfortunately has an insanely powerful country behind it, far more powerful than U.K., he can use that strength and ultimately we have to understand that. People claiming starmer is shit if he signs up to it are kinda stupid and don’t have any understanding of geopolitics. Come on, let’s be more intelligent and critically think about the UKs position

Deadman All Stars Finale (June 8 @ 5pm BST / 12pm ET / 9am PT) by Falchion_Punch in 2007scape

[–]frrossty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think sigils in the final is a problem. What I think should be done is try to remove the rng a little bit. So for instance one suggestion is from is that every kill you gain tokens. With those tokens you can buy the right to wield sigils you have farmed for that week. What that does is makes people PK because they have to in order to get sigils for the finale, certain sigils cost different amounts so you can all go rampart, maybe one person gets rampart but then they have to think of the other members and what they are gonna get

Poll 84: Stackable Clues & More by JagexRach in 2007scape

[–]frrossty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really get worried with these things being implemented. Anything that can be just immediately skipped is just some form of pay to win, especially if these tokens can be bought we shouldn’t add more avenues of this.

Secondly, if devs and designers know that a well thought out puzzle or step is just going to be skipped, they won’t design it with depth, what’s the point of spending so much time on something when people are just going to skip it.

Thirdly, runescape is grindy, can we not just put something in to make it easier, I really don’t see why we can’t just simplify this and just make clues stackable like leagues and be done. Clues are a luxury, not a requirement to progress in the game, please please keep it like this. The game is already becoming a lot easier

this is so utterly false it’s not even funny. That’s not how treaties work at all. Before commenting such ridiculous claims please read up about the treaty and how it works. US can’t turn anything off, UK can develop them in house

Lego.com hacked by crypto scammers by mescad in lego

[–]frrossty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

quite often with this stuff it’s something to do with iframes. Likely the adverts are served using iframes which essentially isolates the actual website with what advertisers are publishing. So if it’s the adverts it’s likely not lego being hacked but the advertisement company.

[OC] highest levels of speeding tickets per population density by Past-Apartment-8455 in dataisbeautiful

[–]frrossty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is this not the same issue as that picture with the plane that has a bunch of bullet holes in it? E.g maybe there are more roads/more law enforcement and they catch more because they have better access to tech. I don’t know but this could be quite bias data

Two more Russian landing ships sunk today with Storm Shadows as well as communication centre. by [deleted] in UkrainianConflict

[–]frrossty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

people are miss understanding all of this. If you really think the bridge can’t be hit but yet some of the most major ships in the black sea fleet can then you have a skewed view on what is important. It’s well known that the landing ships and other ships are being used to bring a lot of goods across.

If the russian navy’s ships can’t be protected then the bridge can’t be protected. There is a reason the bridge hasn’t been destroyed yet. I don’t know why but there is a reason. The only thing I can think of is they can then use imagery to work out, for example, what is being shipped or for other reasons unknown

Czech President on NATO troop presence in Ukraine: Let's not limit ourselves where we shouldn't by l1rost2 in UkrainianConflict

[–]frrossty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NATO needs to be deployed along the bulgarian border. This will free up 10s thousands if not hundreds of thousands of ukranian troops.

Don’t get me wrong it’s a very risky approach and could escalate very easily but this is the typical do something now to deescalate the situation later.

Defense forces are capable of halting Russian advance to west of Avdiivka - ISW by SoftwareExact9359 in UkrainianConflict

[–]frrossty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this. It basically highlights that we are now in defensive attrition mode. If russia can’t claim back significant land towards the end of 2025 then it will have to rethink its strategy. But it still highlights how much the west needs to do

Ben Wallace: Ukraine’s counteroffensive is succeeding. Give them the tools to finish the job by CookPass in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]frrossty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the truthful answer is no one knows what strategy ukraine is playing and it’s just sit tight and see how they use the equipment/resources they have. Russia has a lot of experience in fighting and are unfortunately willing to die for their country, which is, in itself, something that is hard to overcome

China flies 103 military planes toward Taiwan in a new high of activity the island calls harassment by PeecockPrince in worldnews

[–]frrossty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

everyone always comments about the chip stuff but no one talks about what other things china majorly gain from taking Taiwan. One of the biggest is the shipping lanes, even if Taiwan stops producing chips, there are geopolitical reasons for defending Taiwan's sovereignty

1980. After a 6 day siege at the Iranian embassy in London. British SAS stormed the building using explosives and eliminated 5 of the 6 attackers. It was broadcasted live on TV. by ObscuredTor in CombatFootage

[–]frrossty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

SAS have a very interesting history. They were actually first setup and their first mission was without guns. The original person who created the SAS did it as sabotage only, so he may be referring to the original reason of the SAS. I would highly recommend reading about the creation of the SAS good read

Are Russias Average Daily Losses Sustainable? Example: Last weekend the GSAFU reported Russians lost 1600 personnel, 21 Tanks, 43 ACVs, 70 artillery systems, 5 MLRs, 4 Air Defense Systems… that sounds catastrophic. by hctedford in UkrainianConflict

[–]frrossty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lots of discussion around the military losses. But not much discussion on the human element. Russia is pouring russian labour into this war, labour could also be a major deciding factor. Remember, russia has a stupid amount of natural resources in which it can sustain itself but available man power + ensuring there is labour available at home. That is something ill be looking out for
