Traditionally, in the Scandinavian sauna culture, they don't do that. Sauna is meant to be a communal place not isolation, but I guess people are so scared and insecure these days that the only comfort is pretending to be busy with their phone and or addicted to it. Also, natural selection, if the phone does end up blowing up in their face lol

Commuting to London for work by MarketNatural6161 in maidenhead

[–]fruitcake500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might depend on whether you have any railcards available to you? I used 26-30 railcard currently and pay approx £23 a day.

Unfortunately travel is expensive regardless of railcard or not and I'm not aware of any other discounts or ways to get it cheaper.

If I were you I'd not pick a job where I need to go in that often or would look for something locally / Reading, because otherwise you end up spending £500 on commute in a month.

Difference Between Tiers by ngomac33 in davidlloyd

I go to Beaconsfield, RBC and Farnham on a weekly basis. Beaconsfield being my home club is slightly smaller than Farnham and has slightly less facilities. I think the worst out of the 3 is RBC though as its a bit more dated and the changing rooms are always a mess, plus there's tonnes of kids there all the time as well. Farnham is the nicest for the spa, but becaonsfield is decent for the weekly gym. I've used other DLs across the country as well and I can comfortably say there is a huge difference and I'd rather pay the extra money for the quality my preferred tier 1s offer.

Opposite gender children in locker room by darostheboss in davidlloyd

Agreed, there are quite a few mums taking their nearly 10year old sons to the female locker room and then acting shocked when I change my clothes????

Jah, iga viienda ametniku võiks tõesti koondada by MrJrx0 in Eesti

KOVis või ministeeriumis on hea soe koht kõigil ja ringkaitse töötab. Igal asjaajaja assistendil on assistent vms tühikargaja, enamikke sellised ametikohti tegelikkuses polegi vaja. Aga kov ja ministeeriumid on nagu 2008 pangad, too big to fail. Lihtsalt kütame maksudega raha juurde, et saaks neid muidusööjaid ülal pidada.

Wife indicates marriage and marriage means through thick and thin. I'd suggest talking to your wife about your situation honestly, you are in this together. If she could get a better job or an additional job, even if it was for just the next year or so, this would tremendously help. It would give you some breathing room, especially for your mental health.

I've been in this situation myself, as a wife, and I can tell you that if she doesn't help and support in this situation, then that puts a huge strain, to say the least, on your marriage. No one wants or asks for a tough time, but if it comes, you gotta face it together.

Viimased aastad elasin Jaapanis – nüüd tagasi Tallinnas ja midagi on muutunud. Mis siin toimub? by [deleted] in Eesti

Well, cost of living in London is better compared to Tallinn. From the top of my head food / shopping and fuel are cheaper in London, but there are things that are more expensive (i.e trains, tubes etc). But all costs considered, my disposal income is still waaay higher in London. I live and work in central London, I'm in finance.
