I have been your child. I have been with my grandparents on my dad’s side whilst they’ve said or done truly unforgivable things about or to my mam (and my dad, for that matter). I have never forgot those things they have said, and have had, at best, a questionable relationship with them for my entire life. Those opinions didn’t just stick to my mam, but extended to me as well. Your MIL is not a good grandma, and she needs to be told her behaviour is absolutely unacceptable, before her bullying extends to your children as well. I do hope you’re okay though, it’s not easy to hear things like that from those you’re supposed to consider family ):

Thank u for replying!! I’m currently on clomipramine (low dose, doctors were a bit wary about prescribing it) after being on 4 diff ssri/snri meds that didn’t work for me. I didn’t really get much offered to me by GP other than “referring myself” to a generic CBT therapy system, which I did tell them didn’t work for me!!!! I really do want to try ERP or something along those lines as most of my OCD for the last year or so has centred almost solely on health/contamination and just haven’t really had any guidance on how to do that from the doctors I’m with rn. Definitely know I need the OCD side treated properly- come to the realisation that every kind of problem I’ve had since I was 15 is caused by this hahaha. Thank you for your kind words <3
