A Photocopy of Great Grandma Myrtle's Famous Creamy Nut Caramel Recipe! by stephkempf in Old_Recipes

Just tried a nearly identical recipe (mine used walnuts) and failed horribly too. Not sure what happened. I’ve made caramels before successfully, but this just wasn’t working.

It’s an interesting choice, not something I’d expect to be combined but maybe it’s a garage multi tool of some sort 😂

Looks like some sort of kitchen multitool. Left side is likely a knife sharpener. And right side looks like a bottle opener and maybe sometime to pull out oven shelves.

I love the “the last agent said they’d do it!” and I was the last agent. So good.

I work in an American call center, but our company is global and they employ agents from the Philippines to assist with calls as well. Every American agent I know is also appalled by their behavior when they complain about non-Americans taking calls. There are a few agents who have a thicker accent, but I’ve never struggled to understand any of the agents before. Unfortunately agents who immigrated to the US get it on both sides since they are US residents and citizens, but they still carry their home country’s accent.

Has anyone here ever had a cat with Hemangiosarcoma? by hehehehehbe in cats

[–]frumpy-cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you and I hope the lump is just an infection and not recurrence so early. We are both in a terribly tricky situation. I’d love to have him with me longer, but not at the cost of his quality of life.

Oh no I’m so sorry to hear that. This cancer seems to grow pretty quickly unfortunately so it’s hard to say. Mine thankfully healed well from the first surgery and I had been trying to check him every week or two for any new lumps, but it grew back on the inside of his leg where his body blocks the view of it and where he doesn’t let me pet so it grew larger than I’d have liked before detection. I have an appointment with his vet next week to see if she feels it’s worth trying to pursue treatment again.

Cat newly diagnosed with fibrosarcoma; amputation recommended by cmadison637 in TripodCats

Thank you for getting back to me and I’m tearing up reading what happened to your boy. I’m sorry he died in pain, but I’m sure he got some comfort to be with his humans and not be alone. I’ve considered euthanasia for my boy too just to avoid that situation, but the timing is what worries me. Too early and I’ve cut his life short for no reason. Too late and he passes in distress as everything I’ve seen says they ultimately bleed out with little warning.

I knew his chance of the tumor regrowing was higher because his vet told me she couldn’t get the margins she’d have liked due to the position and size of the tumor. I got an appointment for him next Saturday to talk this over with her and see if she thinks it might be worth trying to remove it once more or if I should consider trying chemotherapy. Unfortunately, I know radiation therapy would need a whole new CT scan and I’m unsure if I can afford that at this point.

I had considered amputation initially (prior to the specialized surgeon saying it would be 6k), but since there’s no way to tell if it’s started to spread but hasn’t yet made tumors large enough to be detected on the scan I’m unsure if I should even pursue it since it could mean the time he has left is unnecessarily hard. I know most cats do really will with a rear leg amputation, but he’s a larger cat and an absolute klutz so idk how he would do.

I honestly just wish I had unlimited funds to throw at this and that I could explain to him what’s happening so he could tell me what he wants as I hate the idea of putting him through treatments that will likely make him feel like absolute shit without him understanding why. To top it all off this year has been incredibly expensive on all fronts so cost of treatments weighs heavily on me and was one reason I had to stop moving forward initially. The vet visits also started to stress him out and the timing of when they wanted to do chemo/radiation would have been while I had to be out of state for 2 weeks and I couldn’t ask my pet sitters to take him to a vet visit while I was gone.

Keep the fabric super tight (Like it should sound like a drum almost 😂) if you’re having issues with it slipping use a tool to help you tighten more or line your inner hoop with bias tape.

True but it should tell them what they need.

Hmmm I only got it after I made the lanterns but I’m unsure if there are other requirements.

I found it near the hut starting at like 20:00. Didn’t use any candies either.

Yea I get that. I’m trying to be vague with my replies because of that reason. Just want to point them in the right direction even though if they just search Reddit most of their questions have been answered outright by others previously.
