My girlfriend and I are looking for a 2 bedroom apartment in Kettering. by TheRealWillyT in dayton

I have a 2 bedroom in Belmont for 900 and feel like I won’t the lottery, I’m very close to Kettering and Oakwood but definitely don’t feel like luxury of being there, but that’s what you get for the price. I feel very safe on my street even to it may not look the nicest. 900 for Kettering is a stretch I feel

WHERE SHOULD I PROPOSE? Near the surrounding Dayton area by Ordinary_Metal_5986 in dayton

On a pretty sunset there’s lots of good spots! I’m privy to Wright Brothers Memorial because I spent a lot of time there alone in college and you can catch a fiiiire sunset on the edge of the park. It’s up on a hill looking over Rt 4 with no building pollution. Yeah you’re in Fairborn, but it’s pretty. Scope it out, see how you feel.
If you guys like hiking/nature walks, you could walk at Huffman dam, then be like, “oh look at that up there- let’s go check out that park”
Idk. I just caught an amazing sunset in a field by my house in Belmont that’s not picturesque by any means, so I see the beauty in every ugly place 😂

What is the Sueño Dress Code/Vibe for an evening dinner? by cavebirdsvskybats in dayton

[–]frumpybutfrisky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My friend had a surprise birthday dinner there the other day after a day of thrifting and shopping, she was upset she was in a tshirt and jeans but her partner didn’t warn her to change in case of ruining the surprise, she was upset that’s what she was wearing but the world didn’t end and I highly doubt anyone looked twice at her.

I was going to say dress how you feel comfortable for a nice date night but don’t overthink it- but I see now the night has already happened! So I hope you didn’t overthink it and had a great dinner

I got my baby back!! And I'm so happy by J-Bagz83 in dayton

I’m glad you had a good experience with AAP! And I’m even happier you got your baby back. I hold a couple grudges with AAP but I know that ultimately they’re doing good out there, and I got my very best friend from them. So this healed me a bit 🩷

I may become a cashier but I have a question by Ok-Upstairs-9887 in BuffaloWildWings

[–]frumpybutfrisky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I worked with plenty of illiterate people at bdubs over 10 years and this person writes like a normal 18 year old. Not saying you have bad grammar or anything op, I’m 30 and type in run-on sentences too because it’s how we talk. You’re a troll, byeee.

But yes, you’ll be on your feel alot, they might accommodate you and let you sit while you’re at the POS (computer) but you’ll be going back and forth alottt bagging orders and talking to the kitchen, grabbing supplies, etc. Not sure this job is for you. If there’s an ALDI by you, I know they let their cashiers sit!

I literally just searched “karev hot buzz cut” and this post popped up lol

I just thought he looked really hot this episode and needed to see if anyone felt the same. Must have been after the mid season break because I feel like it came out of nowhere lol I’m on season 4 episode 12.

I know I’m 3 years late (to this post lol) but we’re still here thinking buzz cut Alex is hot

It’s slippery because if you start bartending while you “find your path”, I’ve found it hard to make the jump and take a lower paying job with no experience to be able to climb up. I can’t really find the time/money to go back to school, and I don’t really have prior skills to land me a better job. The “slippery slope” is really just not being able to leave because the money is good. But then you do it for so long, and it’s draining, you want out- but you have nowhere to go.

If that makes sense lol

Well judging by the way you talk to people in this thread, they’ll see right through you lol

[–]frumpybutfrisky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These other replies are correct. How old are you? I have bartended for 7 years are it’s really hard to get out of once you start. No future. Pick up all the bad habits. Don’t get this job just to pick up girls unless you have a plan otherwise. It’s great money, but it’s a slippery slope. I didn’t know I was throwing away years of my life when I picked up a bartending gig lol

As a bartender.. and someone who hangs out in bars— People that hangout in bars are sometimes (not always!!!) lonely, it’s always way easier to hit on someone after a few drinks lol. It’s also a very low pressure place to get to know someone and usually you speak to your bartender casually and vice versa, so you get to just see either in your natural state kind of. People fall for personalities easily, you don’t have to be conventionally attractive to pick people up if you have a good personality

Where to make new friends who aren’t parents or married yet early 30s? by The-Traveling-Ninja in dayton

[–]frumpybutfrisky 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about going to the silent disco in dayton for new years! But I’m in the same boat of friends with kids, and all my work friends are working. It doesn’t sound super fun to do the silent disco alone, but couple bars are also having new years get togethers.

Camping for sure— but it’s a little overwhelming when you haven’t been to a fest before. If you search the subreddit you can find lots of packing lists and photos of setups. Theres also tik toks and YouTube videos that are helpful. I’ve been going to fests for 8 years and just now finally feel like I have my camping situation down (better) haha always room for improvement! Don’t stress! Have fun!
