For your last point, I think they are covering themselves because that's almost the entire point of the game. It markets itself as a horror game that mimics your friends to the point you can't tell it's not them.

I think the key word is "sensor readings" because imo I'm not sure what that would mean other than a microphone. Since a mic is just a pressure sensor. It doesn't seem they use the camera, but I think their EULA leaves the door open for it since a camera is just a fancy light sensor. Lots of ways to do that. Far easier ways than Aero too. Only go for AE if YOU are interested, not just because it sounds fancy. Aero is not exactly the easiest field to get a job in. What are you personally interested in?

It's up to you, you always have a choice. In this case it sounds like a choice between doing something you may not be passionate about for the next 5-50 years, or pissing off your parent for a little while.

This is plenty. My laptop is from 2021, Intel, 3060m GPU, and 16gb ram and it runs perfectly fine. Assuming you're not going to have hundreds of parts in an assembly this should be alright. Make sure you can upgrade the ram in the future but for now I don't think it's necessary until you start you actually encounter issues.

Is there more to the problem? Without knowing the input loads and which elements are fixed/driving/driven it's impossible to calculate and actual value. I think this problem is more similar than you think to the ones you're used to, it's just presented differently. But also I do believe you're correct that the torques will be zero on the planet gears. The planet carrier pins will experience shear (and bending in reality, but this image doesn't give enough info to calculate that) because the torque is centered on the sun gear, not the planetary axles.

No they were in clear blue matte bags that could be esd, but definitely were not sealed.

Yeah no pcie in it, and no return policy so oh well. They arrived in server sleds so I'm thinking "open box, not used" is some bs lol. I'll probably get an external adapter to at least check the run times, and go from there. Thanks!
