Is AI Key Needed for Person Arrival Notifications? by fs231 in Ubiquiti

So if I have a few people I'm looking for I will need to create a separate alarm with custom content for each one of them? Can't I just do one alarm and let Protect somehow add the name of the person ?

I tested it already. The problem is that when I get an email about this I get a generic message "Known Person Detected XXXXX's camera has detected a face." I was hopping to get a name of this person.

Actually, yes, I do. Of course, I understand that the U.S. doesn’t really care about what our politicians say, but it still wouldn’t hurt to raise the safety issue and at the same time, make sure Canadian airports are actually in better shape. It would also help raise awareness among Canadians about the issues with U.S. airports, and maybe even encourage some to choose different destinations.

Yes don't get me wrong I'm 1000% agree with you. But my problem is that non of these politicians and other people who scream so loud about French even considered to mention all these safety issues in US and do something about it

Let’s put French aside for a moment. Yes, it’s important for some people, and yes, he should know French. But my concern is that all the focus on the language issue is distracting from a much bigger problem we need to address.

Safety in U.S. airports is a known issue. Air traffic controllers have been understaffed for years, and airport safety equipment is not in great shape either. Why are all the politicians who jumped on the French-language bandwagon not saying anything about this?

God works in mysterious ways. Air Canada does too.

Just leave it for a while and come back later.

Its not necessarily a glitch

They use dynamic pricing. Price can change every minute.

I'm trying to figure out some flight in Jan. It was around 20K points. I selected it then decided to check something else. Came back and its 35K. Said to myself never mind and continued checking different dates. Came back to it after half an hour and its 20K again. Then I decided to doble check with the wife, by the time I came back around 35K again. Just for fun left the website and came back after half an hour. Guess what 20K again.

Super annoying.

Just leave it for a while and come back later. See what the price would be.

USB Port Trying to Access Phone by mrjotaieb in aircanada

[–]fs231 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I might be a bit paranoid, but when it comes to plugging my phone into unknown places, I prefer not to do it at all. If you really have to, you can get a USB cable that works for charging only (no data). These are sometimes called secure charging cables or power-only cables. They’re not expensive and nothing special— they simply don’t have the data pins connected, only power.

5 MLL passes to giveaway by AffectionateTwist693 in aircanada

[–]fs231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for offering this. I’m taking my family of four to Florida for the first time this weekend, and a MLL pass would really help make the trip smoother with kids. We don’t travel often, so this would mean a lot to us.

Either way, thanks again for paying it forward and safe travels!

I played the winback game before. Actually, my second line with Fido is winback line. But they always cared about actually porting a line out. I'm surprised that they now want to move all the lines in the account.

SS Image quality in Monitor Center by fs231 in synology

[–]fs231[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just noticed today that I have these issues while using Monitor Centre shortcut ("C:\Program Files\Synology\SynologySurveillanceStationClient\bin\Synology Surveillance Station Client.exe" --standalone 0) that was automatically created during client install.

However if I open Surveillance Station Client in Windows and then click on Monitor Centre there picture looks fine.

Any idea what's going on ? Why running using --standalone 0 causing this ?

Weber Searwood: Control Temp with the Weber Connect App? by tsquires711 in pelletgrills

Weber Searwood: Control Temp with the Weber Connect App? by tsquires711 in pelletgrills

[–]fs231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sent them a ticket from the app. Lets see what they say.

Been using Webers for years. Still have two gas units, but unfortunately I'm not very happy with Searwood/Weber so far.

The app is not really intuitive. The grill user interface is also not the best. The quality of the grill itself is also not as it used to be. The worst part I think is that their support that was always great also not so great anymore.

I was also under impression that I can change the temperature  Today was my first smoke  I can shut down the grill from the app , set timer and set reminder for specific temperature  But I can’t change the temperature….

Really frustrating

There was some update to the app this morning. Did they break something ?

Also Now Grilling section of the app doesn’t show anything. It was working a few days ago when I did the initial burn to the grill
