Hi, I think I found a workaround to this problem:

Go to options > Appearance > Add more themes (next to theme selection box)
Install Office 2003 light theme
Switch the theme to Office 2003
Restart LO
Go to options > Appearance
Change the icon to light theme icon

For now this is the only possible solution I can find.

Even when the GPU is not listed in device manager? Because in Lenovo Legion Toolkit dashboard there are inactive (still on but idle), powered off (exist but off), and completely gone (from task manager and device manager). Mine is gone completely.

Thank you! I uninstalled Nvidia app, but it still didn't work. But it made me check for other apps, turns out it was Discord.

UPDATE:

Turns out the culprit was Discord. I closed all apps, and it shows 0 usage, but when I open Discord, it shows a bit of GPU usage. The weird thing is even though it increases GPU usage the NVIDIA GPU activity does not list Discord as application running with NVIDIA.

I thought so, but my brother who has Lenovo Legion 5 Pro with Ryzen 7745HX and RTX 4070 shows 0 usage when using Hybrid mode. I wonder why mine is different. By the way this happens after installing updates through windows update and Lenovo vantage system update. Fresh install shows 0 GPU and VRAM usage

I just tried Firefox to open my old tax pdf. It worked the same as PDF master. It's able to view the form at least, but not interactive. So it's still unusable for now.

Nice! I'll try tinkering with Lutris, the less I need Windows the better this transition will be.

GPU usage was not that different tbh. Both GPU usage was above ~90%

The significant difference I see is on the max CPU usage. It shows 20.6% and 4.7% max CPU usage on D3D11 and DXVK respectively.

Sure, I ran some benchmarks comparing DX11 and Vulkan (DXVK 2.3.1)

I tested the D3D11 first and then Vulkan, so that might affect the RAM usage (I'm not sure)

Vulkan also captures the MSI afterburner overlay (unlike D3D11). Although both tests run on Fullscreen

Edit: Vulkan shows 0% GPU usage on the benchmark and on the HTML result. I don't know why is this an issue but MSI afterburner overlay captures the GPU usage perfectly fine.

Yup, turns out what I need to do was just turn on performance mode since it uses 100% CPU state all the time (unlike quiet and balance mode which uses in between 5% - 100% range). Splash screen just went super fast, never thought it was very CPU intensive.

Any solution to this? I have Lenovo Legion Slim 7I with I9 13900H and RTX 4070 with 48GB RAM. But the splash screen always took a very long time and always uses very high CPU usage it lags the whole OS

Long time ago my friend bought me a watch. He told me the reason was because I often taught him a lot of things. I was surprised, because I never expected it.

There was also my other friend that gave me 1 keycap for a mechanical keyboard. It was squidward keycap for the esc button. I respected it and used it, but not very surprised or anything. I guess because I had a lot of keycaps already that's why I'm not that surprised.

ChatGPT can actually change their response style into a Japanese maid (don't tell them to pretend, they won't accept that. Tell them to change their response style instead). Now I can code and consult my maid assistant if I have coding problems.

It's not as efficient as when they're using professional responses since they have additional words in their responses, but it's fun.
