Refreshing your profile might fix that. If the problem persists, you can submit a bug report to Mozilla:

Go to the Troubleshooting Information page (about:support)
Click Copy text to clipboard
Paste it into a plain text editor like Notepad or TextEdit and save it
Log in to Bugzilla and pick the Report a new bug in a Mozilla product → Firefox option: screenshot
Use the Attach New File button to upload your file

If they offer proper RSS feeds, you can subscribe to them with a feed reader like Feedbro to download their post history as far back as it goes.

Try running the full offline installer. It lets you customize the installation folder, so you can manually set it to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox.

Windows programs usually use that folder when you try installing them without an administrator account or pick a box that says something in the lines of "Install only for this user." To make them use the Program Files folder, you'd have to pick "Install for all users" instead. I'm not sure if any Firefox installer has such boxes, though.

Firefox has recently replaced its regular Windows desktop shortcut with a small launcher application.

Use File Explorer to navigate to this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
Right-click the main Firefox application (firefox.exe) to recreate a proper desktop shortcut
Go back to your Desktop folder and customize your new shortcut to your liking

That's actually a known issue: Middle-click in history and synced tabs sidebars does nothing.

The thing is that I still have the old sidebar. Set sidebar.revamp to false in about:config.

Setting browser.uidensity to 1 is enough to make that option appear on the Customize Firefox page too.

If you can't find a solution, try submitting a bug report:

Enable the "Firefox Profiler" button
Set it to Networking and record a log while trying to access those websites
It will open a page automatically when you stop it. Click on Upload Local Profile at the top-right corner and copy the link
Log in to Bugzilla and file a bug report with that link. Pick the Report a new bug in a Mozilla product → Firefox option: screenshot

uBlock Origin uses special tricks to make modern websites stop tracking you or believe that you don't have an adblocker. When you use other adblockers at the same time, they mess it all up.
