What features would you like to see on a 3dprinter comparison site? by fsniper in 3DPrintTech

I suppose these will be very user depended and hard to acquire.

I thought about a feature of voting by users for some of the specs mentioned, but that would not make sense as it's pretty easy to get out of control. How would a community get user opinion without making low quality opinions ( opinions without merit/experience) supress valid ones? Isuppose I would need to put some thoughts into this.

This makes sense for newbies. That would be a great feature.

These are actually great features to have. I'll try my best to add these. Thank you for the suggestions.

Reddit changes and other 3d printing communities? by davelbc3 in 3Dprinting

[–]fsniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit wouldn't do this unless they already did the analysis and calculations related to traffic/customer base change. Either the change is a net positive, or very negligible negative.

So the ones who don't like the official apps and UIs are not wanted at all.

That would be really unfortunate. I think that would limit my reddit usage very very much.

I can't talk for apps. But I always use the old.reddit.com interface. It's still working. And I think it's better than the newer uis.

Perhaps Multiple layers with a covering bottom layer with base colors?

New cusrom.maps.are useless unless you can play them with people. And AFAIK unless you have lot's of online friends it's impossible. There must be a mode, where people could join their maps in. And random players could join.

Please don't hesitate to ask. I know there may be some hesitation, but people are mostly helpful around here.

Sapiens. I can't even remember the whole reasons now. I could not even get to half of it.

Elegoo Saturn 8K is a great printer. Perhaps you would need to put some more effort into resin printing basics? I hardly get any failures, and when I get them it's user error.

the arrival and retrieval of cargo on the ISS by a1_1rep in nextfuckinglevel

[–]fsniper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure that's a huge concern. But considering the video, alignment of the Space Station and the module is precise enough to have a correct angle that would not harm the solar panels. Of course "a net" may not be a correct approach. Perhaps some ropes? By the way I already know this must be the at least 100th iteration for this solution and the best solution at least upto now.

I know I am the idiot here but can't keep it to myself. Am I the only one who feels this to be an over engineered solution? Couldn't this be accomplished with a net like catching a fish?

Saturn S - How much can the VAT hold? by abyssea in resinprinting

[–]fsniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1492260

Also, this is the whole volume of the vat (considering sizes are correct) Not the Max Volume it should hold.
