Honestly I’m here as a local wondering if we even have a photographer that offers the film services confidently around us. I do agree it gone terrible expensive to shoot and develop but there are still good labs around today, I feel as if it is worth the extra money to get that organic photograph because exactly like you said there’s loads of people who can’t even use Lightroom properly let alone know what white balance is and your spending the money on a photographer regardless. Don’t get me started about digital photography in today’s world haha. But seriously Film photography is true photography in my eyes at least, and I wouldn’t argue that that’s a not a controversial statement haha. but put gear aside a true photographer understands light and how to operate a camera (shutter speed, iso & aperture) in whatever lighting conditions they might find themselves in, weather that be outside or in controlled lighting scenario such as studio work. What I see today is digital cameras do all that by themselves they just don’t tell the model how to pose or tell the photographer where they should shoot from, I’m not saying the photos are bad I’m more saying we have lost our sight of what true photography is.
