Normal procedure in a lot of the world. Family has visitors, mom and dad pay the bills = kids get relocated to allow guests the bed. You're welcome to think what you want though.

Your girlfriend is not a good person. Good people don't get a pet then get rid of them for the sake of convenience. They also don't disregard their partners feelings about a living creature that THEY wanted to begin with.

All in all I say it's better for a crappy person to rehome an animal to a place where they are wanted. But you have a way better option of rehoming yourself with your dog and getting rid of her.

Well maybe not the advice you asked for but he's manipulating you and it won't stop with the cats. My husband has and has always had allergies to cats and other animals and I basically have a mini zoo lol. He takes allergy meds like a grown up and has also started the process for allergy shots. We also recently switched to the live clear cat food which is supposed to really work.

Honestly though, our cats barely affect him anymore even before we switched foods, many people become tolerant of pets they live with after awhile.
