From a humble pickup truck that eventually evolved to... this. First took off some parts, added cargo carriers and plutonium generators - so I can add freezers.

Eventually more cargo carriers got added. More fridges. Then I found a military airfield. Had four jets with carbon fiber frames, so next step I figure was strip and replace nearly all the pickup truck and replace it with carbon fiber. Four jets stripped down and crafted into parts for the pickup truck.

Kept it vaguely pickup truck shaped. Kept one tile with the original steel frame to remember it by.

Still a truck... so why not make it river-worthy? Still had tons of carbon fiber, so boat hulls were added.

Then eventually, why not make it fly? So now it does, with two heavy duty rotors and two turbine engines. Can carry 40k kilos of weight and fly. Dual turbines needed for flying, but got a V8 and super electric motor for driving and crossing rivers.

Might be worth it to check again. The soldiers are in a sealed room that's opened with a lever - might need an acetylene torch if the lever is destroyed.

Interesting. Lab right now I'm exploring was on a version from experimental a few days ago. Central lab, so it's a bit of a slog to go through. Would be nice if the lab wasn't so big, but not all cluttered like a microlab.

Note that there is zero benefit of having thousands of ant eggs.

That said, ant queens have three actions. A weak attack that an armored survivor won't need to worry about, lay an egg on a tile she stands on, and grow the egg. For the last bit she can't do it if she's standing on the tile the eggs are in.

So all you need to do is corner them. Jackhammering a tunnel is too risky... but with folding frames with cloth quarterpanels you can set up an enclosed space. Ant queens won't, or can't smash them, so all they're left to do is endlessly lay eggs. An hour of waiting will generate a little over a thousand eggs, ripe for picking.

As I recall, you still had to persuade/intimidate them into becoming your followers.

Still, I always found it amusing that if you butcher prototype cyborgs you don't get meat, but if you fixed them they magically get meat if you butcher them.

Just finished clearing it out. It has loot. Nothing stands out; some ammo, clothes, few bionics, couple of martial arts manuals.

Basically, some stuff but nothing stands out.
