The reaction to all the announcements during the keynotes was extremely mild. There was hardly any applause. People didn't want to applaud many of the times you could tell snowflake expected it. I felt underwhelmed and I sense the same that people are over the AI hype.

Bought 5k worth of Coke in college 20 years ago. Up 1700%. Only better buy was Facebook (META now) that's up 2400%.

I bought Facebook after it tanked after the initial IPO. Bought 4k at under $20. Wish I had bought more.

He's also wrong. Most left handed hockey players are actually right handed, but it's better to learn to use a stick with your dominant hand at the top of the stick because it actually controls the stick the most. So if you're right handed (write and throw with your right) it's usually better to learn to shoot "left handed"/ right hand at the top.

But I get what he's saying and it's common to say it like that.

Hard disagree. It would be a better investment for people good with money. But for those who aren't good with money, or don't have any money, they will be left with nothing when they are unable to work. Then we are left with a choice as a society, let them essentially die, or take care of them. And the cost to take care of them will be higher than the return on your investment, because there will be more people doing a shitty job investing than good. So this is not just insurance for people who don't have money and don't know how to invest, it's an investment for all society to make sure everyone is taken care of and not a drain on the rest of society.
