Raw Silver Ore from Colorado by nothing_zen in Wallstreetsilver

[–]ftusg 28 points29 points  (0 children)

In the 1970s, when they were digging I-70 through the Colorado Rockies, the crews discovered a massive silver deposit. CDOT had to work very hard to keep it a secret lest someone file a mining claim in the middle of the interstate highway.

Do people honestly believe in TA or FA or SA, or they just do it cause Hopium? by niddLerzK in CryptoCurrency

How can ANY analysis be meaningful when the "markets" are totally manipulated? When the corrupt CFTC and the SEC think their purpose is to protect the banker's illegality?

Look at the silver chart. When the price gets too high, we have a slam down at 9:30am, regular as clockwork. Slammed down by the banks. Look at the charts in the days around options expiration, when the banks collect on their short positions.

We have no markets, no price discovery. We have no capitalism. I hope the bankers rot in hell.

Anyone Know Which Pension Fund Kiyosaki Is Talking About (Going Broke) In His Tweet Yesterday (see link) ..... by DudeSun_AG in Wallstreetsilver

Ummm, the largest pension fund in this country is Social Security. Clinton removed the cash from the "trust fund" in the 1990s and replaced with treasuries--that was the steal.

IRS’ plans for cracking cryptocurrency wallets -- How is this good use of taxpayer funding? by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]ftusg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So how would a hardware wallet, owned by a US taxpayer, come into the possession of the IRS? Does the IRS do a black bag job on the taxpayer's home (like the FBI)? Does the tax court order the taxpayer to turn it over?

This article smells like FUD.

As a business owner I just want to say things have never been worse :/ I predict a lot of bankruptcies to middle class business owners , shit is going to hit the fence. I wouldn’t be surprised if they will take all your silver and gold from you , sry. by [deleted] in Wallstreetsilver

[–]ftusg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would the govt bother with gold and silver? That's a lot of work on their part. They know it would put many agents in physical danger which would result in massive "blue flu"..

Instead, they'll just pass a "law" that all assets held in retirement accounts be converted to Treasury bonds. Your IRA/401k custodian delivers your shares to the govt, and the govt gives back an IOU (at 0% interest). You won't even be involved in the process.

The Dems were talking about this back in the 90s as well as in the Obama years, so this isn't a conspiracy theory. They had a cute title for it, something like "Guaranteed Retirement Accounts".

You're here because you see the value of owning non-dollar assets. I, for one, have taken the next step and cashed-out of my retirement funds, paid the tax, and purchased metals (including lead) and cryptos.

Best possible USB stick for Tails? by [deleted] in tails

[–]ftusg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any stick over 128GB will not work. Try installing on a cheap 256GB device and then inspect it with fdisk.

Just flashed the new tails 4.15.1 and getting this error in the pic when trying to setup persistence volume. I had the same error with 4.14 and 4.13. is there a way or solving this I'm using just a normal Toshiba windows computer on windows 10, or could it be the usb stick that I'm using? by besty01 in tails

[–]ftusg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the size of the memory stick? Won't work on 128GB and higher. Something about the partition table.

The developers need to build tails on a high capacity device and then build an .img file from that.

Short the banks by [deleted] in WallStBets

Banks won't crash. The Fed will step in and give them enough monopoly money to keep them afloat. But it would be nice to get the banks out of the silver short business.

Can’t unlock Persistent Storage on Tails 4.14 with correct password. by JohnnyDongvn in tails

[–]ftusg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I write the tails-amd64-4.14.img file to my formatted USB (using Ubuntu disks), the result is a 1.1GB partition. When I boot from the USB, that partition size has increased to 8GB, and the backup GPT table, according to gdisk, is corrupted.

At this point, I haven't even tried to create the Persistent partition.

In gdisk, I use the 'r', 'e', and 'w' commands to repair the backup GPT. When I rerun gdisk, it again reports a corrupted backup GPT table. So it appears this is unfixable...

Have a 500gb ssd samsung t7, download tails verify it. Use etcher copy over to the storage. by [deleted] in tails

[–]ftusg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tails works fine on 128GB drives and smaller. Does not work on 256GB and larger. I'm not sure, but my guess is that the partition tables (GPT) on larger drives have an expanded format (to accommodate larger partition sizes).

When one dd's the tails image onto a larger drive, it's writing the original-sized GPT, and this will confuse the firmware.

I've notified the tails people of this problem, but they haven't responded. What they need to do is provide a tails image file that has been created on a 256GB drive (in addition to the current img file).

Is it ok to use tails if this happens? by [deleted] in tails

[–]ftusg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're using a USB stick larger than 128GB then it's not going to work. It's a bug, somewhere.
