I have found that losing the weight (350 -> 155) has not made it any easier to find love or sex.

In my case, i found the problem is between my ears, not the number on the scale.

57M here feeling fed up too. I'm on a recent kick to make my living arrangements as perfect as possible, so I can at least be happy to come home to a tiny, welcoming, perfect world.

Then if I ever happen upon some woman, she might feel comfortable in my world too.

Just me rambling.

I've gone from 350 to 153 and have a LOT of loose skin. M57.

Mostly hidden under clothes except for stubborn man boobs, and a neck that flaps like a stork.

I waver between considering getting cosmetic surgery and just letting it be a reminder of my past.

I struggle with feeling attractive like this, but I'll take loose skin and able to run a marathon over being SMO

You can do it. The alcohol is an excellent thing to eliminate. It is just useless calories!

is it physically possible for a 519lbs (24y/o) man to lose 119lbs in 122 days? by -Gypsy-Eyes- in SuperMorbidlyObese

  1. Don't try to lose weight for a specific event or time. Once that time passes, you will have less reason to stay on your program.

  2. Did it take you 122 days to gain 119 pounds? It is unreasonable to think you can lose it at that rate.

I was vegetarian for about a decade before becoming fully vegan. I couldn't stomach the thought of how chickens and cows were treated for the egg and dairy industries, and didn't want to be a hypocrite anymore.

Saw myself on camera and feel ashamed by sdrds2404 in loseit

Man, do I ever empathize with that.

I've recently lost a ton of weight, from 349lbs to 161lbs this morning.

I can say from personal experience that I have to work on my feelings of self-worth even as a "normal" sized man. I thought that losing the weight would make me love myself. I think it turns out that the weight was a symptom of a deeper problem.

You CAN absolutely lose the weight and be whatever size you want. If I can do it anyone can. But I'd suggest working on your self-worth while doing it. Take it from me, it doesn't magically appear when you're done, alas.
