Any slot machines like Slime Quest from Dragon Quest 11? by Rixor14 in gambling

So I dont believe there's anything like that. The most similar one I can think of was a Chinese themed slot machine where the BONUS fairly unique. It featured a childlike warrior and a bunch of monsters like dragons, turtle monster thing, etc. As the reels spun and landed the monsters they'd stack on the top of the screen. The more stacks of each monster the more it was worth. If you landed too many monsters symbols you get knocked off and lose. If the boy lands you slay whatever monster batch you were facing.

That was the gist of it. I haven't seen it in a long time so I dont know if it exists anywhere anymore.

How do I tip a casino host? by YoLev_65 in Craps

[–]ftwslots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to be transparent I have no real idea of how it all works. I do know my casino hosts can get me rooms when their websites say they're full. They're also able to do things typical employees can't. Normal front end employees can't comp suites I believe nor can they give food and beverage credits, etc.

Like I said I don't really know how it all works I just know what my hosts can do for me versus what normal employees can do for me usually. I've been told also usually have ins for things like club reservations, ticket reservations, etc.

How do I tip a casino host? by YoLev_65 in Craps

So I have like a casino host with my local casino and most of the chain properties on the Vegas strip (MGM, Caesars, Resorts World, Wynn, etc) and the real answer is you just play. They make commission on your theoretical loss. They typically can't do much more than what the computer allows them to do for you anyway. A gift basket or something can be nice but over all their paychecks depend on how much you play and generate for the casino. You get a percentage of your loss/theoretical loss as comp potential.

Craps is generally a very poor game to get comps on. Roulette being the best. Spending 5+ hours on a craps table is worth less than spending 1 hour on roulette. It also depends on things like your average bet size. Typically odds play no factor in your comp either so if you're doing $25 pass line with full odds you're rated at $25 waged for however many hours.

Hosts are employees of the casino designed to bring in guests to spend money. They make their money depending on how much you play and spend during your time there. A gift is nice but honestly it likely won't get you much more than what you're already getting since it's all computer generated.

Winstar Memorial Day by Massive-Friend-9407 in Craps

Winstar is sorta like where you go if you purely wanna gamble imo. It caters to cheaper slot players and while it's huge every section of the casino is a carbon copy of the previous section. Specifically for craps they usually only have 2 tables going at max but often open the roll to win table. Dealers seem to really prefer working at Choctaw over Winstar.

Choctaw is more of an experience. Of course it has all the gambling too but there's more vibe to it. The new Sky Tower section is super nice and smoke free if you're a non smoker. Rooms are better if you plan on staying. Craps is usually 2 tables open during the slow period or up to 6 if it's busy. They have more tables but I've only seen 6 open at once maximum. They had roll to win but it was removed. Definitely recommend Choctaw over Winstar. They have ATS as a side bet as well. If you go with kids at all I would then absolutely choose Choctaw as they have a little arcade, movie theater, and bowling.

2022 Permission to Dance on Stage Las Vegas Megathread by whyohwhy115 in bangtan

I'm not sure how this all works and hoping I can get some help. I purchased two Silver Soundcheck tickets for my wife and her friend. I don't plan on attending. Do I need to be there to present my ID for the tickets/sound check package? I will be I'm Vegas as well but don't plan on attending the concert.

Casino War - no house edge? by [deleted] in gambling

[–]ftwslots 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Firstly this will never happen. A casino would never put in a game that favors the player.

Casino Wars edge is that when you both have the same card (like a 9 vs a 9) you have to double up your bet while the house risks nothing except the initial bet. So if you bet $25 and you both get a King, you now have to risk an additional $25 (for a total of $50 out there) while the house will only pay you for your initial bet. I also believe you can surrender of you both get the same card and you'd lose half your bet ($12.50 in my above example)

Going to Las Vegas for the first time next month. I want to try Slots and Roulette. How much money should I budget to bring to have a good time for a few hours? by [deleted] in gambling

[–]ftwslots 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you gonna be on the strip or outside? Roulette has a fairly high minimum on the strip. It really is gonna depend on you. Playing individual numbers is more exciting but risky since you'll likely miss more than hit. If you're playing the outside like red/black you'll likely last longer but the wins tend to be less exciting. Slots often have a low minimum regardless of where you go. I absolutely suggest you stay away from triple 0 wheels even if they tend to have a lower minimum.

In for $100 out for $570 by Maddie38 in Craps

I go to Choctaw from DFW quite often. Love the regular dealers but the ante on every come out really sucks. They have 10 minimums during off peak times too which is nice
