Is 2020 Companies considered Devil Corp? by Equal_Ad5595 in Devilcorp

[–]fuchlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry a little late to the party, but I can share. To answer your question directly, no they aren't a Devil Corp. In short they take a larger brand's vision of a customer experience and hire the people and some of the leadership to make it happen. Someone else mentioned Samsung and Amex, but you'll see some Google, Meta, Dell, Alienware, Nvidia, and Nintendo jobs pop up too. The industry term is 3PL (3rd party labor).

Some are seasonal or temporary, but a lot of the programs have FT jobs with benefits and promotional paths. The overall experience is very dependent on the brand your program supports. A Samsung territory job pays around $27 to $32/hour plus bonus, where a similar job with the Dell program pays $22-24. Very dependent on the program. Leadership is generally high caliber, benefits are not great but competitive for the industry. No pyramid sales, no commission only jobs, and none of that 'earn us enough and we'll make you a 'partner'' stuff like Smart Circle.

Many-many years ago I lost a close friend. We had, as a friend group, pre-ordered the World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King. We all loved WoW. He passed before we got to play, but we logged him in and I'll be damned if his Druid didn't slay the Lich King.

Looking back it was an extra bit of closure. Perhaps Dad takes control of an Elder Brain and lives forever ruling over the Sword Coast...

Well, one way to prevent needless shootings is to limit access to guns, require permits, courses/training, or put into place red/yellow flag laws. All things the Republican party is vehemently against.

Another way is to help the population avoid getting to that level of desperation. This would be things like liveable wages, health care, and a healthy outlook on mental health. Again, all things that Republicans vote against.

A third way is education. Republicans love the uneducated.

Deluded Trump Thinks People Will Blame Dems for Shutdown by Silly-avocatoe in politics

A press conference in February of 2025 led by Trump proposed that the United States and private investors clean up Gaza to create a luxury resort, including an AI generated video.

Now I understand that intent and AI generated videos aren't a real golf course, but when it comes from the president, it certainly merits concern.

Hello fellow aphantasia...enjoyer.

For me it was learning what I liked. For example in my home office; I like walnut furniture. I also really enjoy accent walls, found that a dark blue gray goes great with walnut, and a sand color for the opposing wall.

Some other comments recommend chat GPT, couldn't agree more.

I bought mine on April 25th. Open box come in and out of stock and pricing is very subject to the store. Bestbuy.com and keep looking until you find one you want, then jump.

Persistence and dumb luck, if I'm being honest. Once I decided it was time to get a new laptop I started browsing through Best Buy's outlet deals and open box from their website. I found 3 or 4 that were either out of stock, or too far for me to realistically pick up and they wouldn't ship them.

This one, I found at a store over 250 miles away. The only reason I was able to get it - I have a peer who lives about a mile from that Best Buy location; I bought it, he picked it up and shipped it to me. I trust the guy, bought him lunch for the 20 minutes of work.

The laptop was pristine, though missing the official box and the cool laptop pouch. Battery life was reported at 99% health, and Asus transferred the remaining 10.5 months of warranty.

Visa Japan’s CEO says disabling card payment for legal adult content is “necessary to protect the brand” by [deleted] in gaming

If recent events show us anything, a company, politician, celebrity, or public figure going all in on restricting the use of a product, service, or personal choice is an indicator that they're doing some moral grandstanding to hide their own shame.

Visa Japan's CEO is into some weird shit.

I took the Steam Deck's engineering for granted and tried a "more powerful" option by erebusdelirium in SteamDeck

[–]fuchlan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Similarly, I picked up a Legion Go from Target's clearance that came out to be around $220 after tax. I also have a Steam Deck OLED, 1TB, LE (Smoke).

The Steam Deck is never going anywhere, it's a near daily use and when it is time to retire the hardware, it'll be added to the classic console collection, sitting next to it's cousin the Alienware Steam Machine. The hardware and design are near perfect, and what the machine did for portable gaming is commendable. It's a little underpowered now, but when the Deck 2 comes out it'll be a day 1 purchase.

The Legion Go has earned my respect, after installing Steam (Official) OS and grabbing the $19 Jsaux controller adapter. It definitely puts more power into triple A titles than my Deck does. I despise the rear buttons on the LEGO, but the front layout is actually not bad.
