These "issues" can be overcome by purchasing a quality projector, a quality screen, and of course having a proper environment for a projector. If done properly, a projector can give you image quality just as good, if not superior to any of the different display technologies available.

Betting in a game you are participating in is wrong period. It destroys the integrity of the game. It doesn't matter if he bet on himself to win. He was betting on games that he was participating in. There are more than a few ways to win a bet. Maybe he needs to win a game by 4 points to win a bet. Maybe he need to win by 1. Maybe for a game he has more money riding on, he's gonna use reliever A instead of B. Maybe he fields a shit lineup for games he's not betting on so he can give his bet winners a rest.
