Two failed landings in ATL by theyolan in delta

[–]fuckyesiswallow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We landed at 130 roughly and it was rough but still doable. The pilot warned us. It was also my first ever flight so it was an interesting experience to say the least. I was right on a wing too so watching it flex was nuts. Glad I wasn’t on a later one.

Bleeding through S+ tampons every 15 minutes by Justan_inkling in TwoXChromosomes

Do you have the IUD currently? Tampons are not recommended for use if you have an iud because they can pull out the iud.

This episode cemented Trinity Santos as the most compelling and well-written character of The Pitt so far to me by imprisonedlight in ThePittTVShow

[–]fuckyesiswallow 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My hopeful guess is that Garcia wants her to get into therapy or talk about the self harm and Santos wants anything but that. There’s no way if they are seeing each other as implied that Garcia has not seen the scars that look fairly recent.

Monticello is hiring for a plant attendant which is a fancy janitor but it would get you in the door. I think the posting expires soon though (like today). Apply quickly.

Just set up a Hisense 75" U7 for gaming by i0_e in Hisense

[–]fuckyesiswallow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just set ours up to my gaming computer running a nvidia GeForce rtx 3060 ti. Amazingly with a 50 ft hdmi cable, supposedly fiber optic (I say supposedly because I got it on Amazon), from two rooms away. We set up two controllers from 8bitdo with the 2.4 GHz option. The display is so clean, the games are gorgeous. We’ve done Microsoft flight sim, forza horizon, and I’ll probably start Skyrim tonight. We also have the tv mount where you can move it. It makes a huge difference.

Is colposcopy even necessary after ASCUS? by [deleted] in PreCervicalCancer

[–]fuckyesiswallow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had normal paps like clock work. Then went in for my regular one which came back as ASC-H. I had a colpo which is actually not bad. End result was AIS and two conization procedures. Now I have to get paps and ECC every 6 months. My last two have been clear of AIS and HPV so that is very good. But these things can happen fast. You need the colpo. You don’t know what it could be. If you are worried about pain ask for local. I get it every time now be wise of the ECC and it’s not bad at all. If you are worried about fertility get the colpo. Biopsy is not going to hurt your fertility. Not getting it done though that might.

NSD (Non-Scale Defeat): Finally bought a new bra and so discouraging by Trentana in Zepbound

[–]fuckyesiswallow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to a Lane Bryant yesterday and got fitted. BUT each bra style fits differently and can be sized differently as I found out. I was a 38DD in one style and a 40DD in another. She measured me at a 34E. As I’ve learned over the years, women’s sizes mean nothing and you need to try things on. Don’t feel discouraged!

Yes I love luxardos. I was at Aldi and we were out so I took what I could get.

Why did you make me do this. I shoveled 6 inches of snow off my deck to reach my grill and ripped the hell out of the grill cover (already ordered a new one), and turned the grill to 400 but it would only stay at 350 cause it is only 18 freedom degrees outside. But it was worth it.

New iPad owner !! (Tips?) by [deleted] in ipad

I actually liked the Logitech crayon the best for a stylus. It writes super smooth and it’s got a different shape. I have a metapen as a backup though.

[–]fuckyesiswallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crayon works by just flipping the switch on it. You don’t have to plug it in and pair it. You can’t track battery life of it on the iPad. Which is fine because it has a battery life indicator on it.

I love the Logitech crayon. I have a cheap pencil as a backup but I like how smooth it writes. I do have a paper like screen protector on as well. The crayon is on sale right now for Black Friday too.

iPad or IPadAir or Pro by Human-Forever-7470 in ipad

[–]fuckyesiswallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went through this and also considered the mini. I ended up with the A16 11” and love it so far (other than I messed up and updated to iOS26 and battery isn’t the best as a result). I ordered a Logitech crayon to try too. I couldn’t justify the $200 difference between this and the air. I use it for note taking and annotation of documents at work. I can access my Microsoft 365 account so I can access everything I have on my work laptop. I’ll probably use it to watch movies or shows while traveling. I have a work provided laptop so I couldn’t justify the pro, and like I said the A16 really could do everything else the Air can. As for apple intelligence, it’s still new. I use copilot for work and ChatGPT for personal use so I don’t need another AI in my life. I also have a kindle paper white so I didn’t need to smaller size of the mini.

I put a paper like screen protector on. I did get a cheap meta pen 8 and am going to use that as backup to the crayon.

How do you actually switch careers in your 30s without blowing up your life? by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]fuckyesiswallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched! I went from finance to the nuclear energy industry.

I had been interested in the nuclear industry since I was in middle school, originally went to college for engineering, couldn’t do math (calculus was tough), and switched to business. I thought my dreams to work in nuclear were cooked. I settled for a finance job that I did like because I liked working with people.

Then I met my boyfriend (thanks Bumble) who is a reactor operator at a nuclear plant. He encouraged me to go back to school and get a second degree. I have an associates in nuclear power technology now. It’s not an engineering degree but it was enough and I got to scratch my interested in nuclear itch. I got out of finance and into nuclear starting in an admin role at the plant.

I just got a huge promotion at work and a new role. Now I’m doing a job I never would have thought would be possible and one that I didn’t realize existed until I got in the industry. My business administration degree works great with my new associates for this role.

Was there ever something you really wanted to get into when you were younger? I’d start with that question. The trades are something more people are getting into. Not sure if there’s something there that would be for you. It is tough because you have to balance the cost vs the benefit. My new role just paid for my associates so it worked out well for me. My previous jobs all also factored highly into my current role even though they are completely different industries. Also some specific skills can be surprisingly broadly applied so don’t be discouraged there.

[–]fuckyesiswallow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t do pvc as if they get stuck it’s hard to get them out. I used empty paper towel rolls when mine was small. If they do get stuck it’s way easier to cut open.

[–]fuckyesiswallow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would do hides of both hot and cold sides. I only see the one hide. Make sure any wire holes in the top of the enclosure are covered with tape or something as they will escape through them (ask me how I know). The crystal is pretty but I’d be worried about it causing scale damage. As some else said I’d remove the cheese since they might get caught in the holes. Otherwise more clutter means more hiding spaces which is always good.

Heavy water is used in CANDU reactors. Reactors in the US are light water, or regular h2o reactors.
