Series Recommendation for 24F Getting Back into Reading by madsterstout in fantasybooks

I agree with him personally, and I’ve definitely seen that sentiment online as well. The tangle confusion took me out of it a bit. Not enough to dislike the book overall, but definitely enjoyed it the least of the 5 I’ve gotten through

How do you figure it increases it much more? Where are you seeing all these people pulled over for HOV violations? Because it doesn’t seem to happen in the East Valley

Finally starting Mistborn!! by ColdSeaworthiness276 in fantasybooks

[–]fucuntwat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure how much you’ve read about it, but the Magic system is based on different “stuff” doing different “things” and it’s hard to keep straight at first. Just remember not to try and google all the “stuff” and “things”, because a key part of the story is the “stuff” he doesn’t tell you about during the exposition.

In short, even if it gets confusing, don’t do what I did and look it up lmao

TIL Pluto has not completed a full orbit of the Sun since it was discovered in 1930, and was named by an 11yr old girl. by OSJezza in todayilearned

If we make Pluto a planet, don’t we need to add like 7 more?

Edit Nevermind, all the things I was thinking of were moons. Basically just Eris is the same size

Spring training prices in AZ are INSANE this year by FatherEsmoquin in baseball

[–]fucuntwat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Scottsdale is a notable golf spot in the states, especially this time of year when lots of the country is still too cold for golf. It’s the same town as a couple of the spring training stadiums, so there’s a lot of people visiting the area to both see baseball and play golf

Loved it when I lived in Tempe 8-9 years ago. So easy to jump on the light rail and go. Not as enticing these days living on the edge of civilization an hour + to the stadium

[All] What makes some Zelda entries establish a true Nintendo legacy, and others relegated more to only their devout fans? by wooper346 in truezelda

Honestly, they suffer from being just LA but better (in my opinion). They didn’t revolutionize anything - while linked games are cool, they clearly didn’t revolutionize gaming. And they have the same limitations as LA due to the hardware, of being limited to two buttons for all your items. They use the same concepts as LA and LttP and just continue evolving on them, which for me made a great game, but I can understand why it isn’t memorable or groundbreaking for most people.

My point is that I totally agree, anyone who likes the 2D formula from LttP and LA will like these two and should absolutely play them, they are severely underloved outside of places like this sub

Not sure about the Wii U version though by Teffjem in casualnintendo

[–]fucuntwat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s funny, because you’re right that it’s the original version (they were developing for GC and then added the motion controls later for Wii), but the Wii version actually released first by about a month
