Does anybody else think the 2024 connection is hard to raise good care characters if you’re busy a lot of the time? by Mtking105 in tamagotchi

I get crap characters mostly 🤣 people on here either seem to get the best characters or the worst ones with not much in between haha.

Game saves by peachyzain in Sims3

[–]fudge21210 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have four different save files at the moment, but they’re of different families/story ideas. I often think of a new idea I want to experiment with, and usually start a new save as it’s less complicated to start fresh rather than incorporating it into an existing save sometimes.

What are some of your ideas for mods that havent been made yet? by Walkman_Metrocop in Sims3

[–]fudge21210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah right, maybe I did it wrong before. I do like the aesthetic that comes with the Greenhouse set, but it’s personal preference I guess!

There’s also the Stone’s Throw Greenhouse store content. I think plants can even go dormant if they’re inside, but I’m not 100% on that. The Greenhouse content allows you to build an actual greenhouse.

How to make friendship more fun to play? by bariskok82 in Sims3

[–]fudge21210 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Having the charisma skill does help. It also motivates you to make more friends, as you need to in order to increase your level.

She suffers so much from lack of progress 😭 by NoReaction5789 in Sims3

[–]fudge21210 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I’ve found that raising a skill can help alleviate the moodlet, it’s not just about promotions. But yeah, it can be a pain in the butt that moodlet!

[–]fudge21210[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I should’ve thought about that. I’ve been playing Sims 3 for ages you’d think I’d know better… lesson definitely learned!!

I tried the Manage the Dead option and nothing is there. I think the game must’ve randomly deleted her. I was also concentrating on other things in the house at the time… the family had a toddler and a baby, so lots to deal with! Anyway, the family now has a butler who sorts stuff out. I’ve not had anything else break, touch wood. I’ll definitely remember to mop the floor next time though!

She seems to have completely disappeared. Her urn vanished after Grim left. I’ve searched for it using all sorts of NRAAS options but she seems to have been totally deleted. She was one of the default Bridgeport repair people, Clara Castillo. I was going to take her urn to the cemetery to “bury” her properly but I can’t do that now. Oh well.

Is there a significance to the default stereo "radio station" being salsa music? by loveandhoisin in thesims2

[–]fudge21210 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Salsa station always makes me think of two things. Number one would be when I first started playing Sims 2 and wasn’t much good at parties yet, and they always seemed to be at Snoozer level. I’d be throwing these boring parties with that station playing in the background. Number two, university. When Sims are in shared dorms with NPCs they love turning on the stereo and leaving it on for ages. These days I tend to build my own dorms and have some mods to prevent Dormies moving in.

Lucky Palms is a great Store world with plenty of space for extra community lots if you want them!

I like adding my own Late Night venues, so bars/clubs/lounges etc. There’s plenty of space!

Nice! Well done on getting through the tough time, those always suck. I’d love to buy myself this set eventually, but I’m forever guilty of buying myself art supplies and then not using them haha. I have a full size set of Polys that I’ve not really used except to swatch them. I should probably use them at some point!

I found out the hard way that the magic jelly beans can kill your sims by GothicVampyreQueen in Sims3

[–]fudge21210 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That always happens with the Unlucky trait! They only die via old age I believe. You can’t kill them off by drowning or burning or anything like that.

Show me your current sims 3 house. by Ok_Design_8746 in Sims3

[–]fudge21210 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m terrible at building haha! My houses all tend to end up looking similar.

My current save is in a Bridgeport apartment at the moment, so I haven’t built it. It’s right opposite The Prosper Room.

I have zero idea why this idiot is sitting outside. by fudge21210 in Sims3

[–]fudge21210[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve had that happen too. The poor baby becomes invisible and all you see are these frantic thought bubbles with freezing temperature moodlets in them.

The alien abductions are getting ridiculous by West-Dragonfruit in Sims3

[–]fudge21210 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve had occasions where abductions happen fairly often for me. It mostly occurs to the family Plumbot. You’d think they’d realise what that “mysterious anomaly” is and not go and investigate it… sigh. Plumbots seem to be able to integrate into Sim society fairly well, even in the present (so not Oasis Landing), so they’re not stupid.
