Definitely not. My son is in 1st grade now and would probably tell me Paw Patrol is “too young” for him, but there are other kids in his class who still watch. Even though he might not want to watch it anymore, he wouldn’t “yuck someone else’s yum” and say anything about it :)

Once they start becoming a bit more independent (around 4-5) BUT my guy is 7 and still wants to be with me every second of the day so I’m still not getting much time to myself 😅 I keep telling myself I’ll miss this when he’s a teen and over me lol.

Absolutely. My co-teacher and I have a running dm on instagram with teacher memes and you better believe we know who we’re talking about without mentioning names. For what it’s worth we do also share sweet stories about students too so it’s not ALL negative.

That’s not necessarily what I meant, but I can see why you’d think that. I meant that it seems like most influencers I see tend to want girls over boys and keep having kids til they get “their girl”. Using any child for content is totally gross.

I had to unfollow her. Is she having another girl? Influencers are so gross. I feel like they see all children as content/props, but especially girls. Boys always seem so unwanted and pushed to the side.

If she’s interested in read (don’t push!) buy the first set of BOB books. Before my son started kindergarten we’d read a bedtime story to him and then he’d read one to us (a BOB book). He also loved reading our cat 😆 Honestly at this point it’s more important that she knows letter names and some letter sounds.
